    average spreadline?
    Helloooo all!

Where do I find info on the average spread in NFL and NBA. What was the average line in NBA and NFL 2010-2011? Is there any easy way to get that info?

    peace

Asking for much here I know, but do you have info on average points margin? You know what I mean? How much did the average team win by in the NBA for example? NFL?

        thanx so much in advance

I just realized that for NCAAB Total Average, I forgot to omit games from the average where there was no valid total posted.

Please see the corrected figures below for NCAAB.

          League Season Line Total

          NCAAB 2006/2007 7.85 136.56
          NCAAB 2007/2008 7.66 136.92
          NCAAB 2008/2009 7.81 135.67
          NCAAB 2009/2010 8.03 137.08
          NCAAB 2010/2011 7.76 135.85

              Hi Messijah,

Below is the break down you had requested.

              A couple of notes:

              1. ALL = Average Margin of Victory for all games
              2. Fav-Wins - Average Margin of Victory for all games where the favorite won the game
              3. Dog-Wins - Average Margin of Victory for all games where the underdog won the game
              4. I am not sure what you are doing with this data but this is just my opinion, I think this type of information makes more sense when viewed in conjunction with Line Ranges - For example in NCAAF what is the average margin of victory where the line is between 3.5-6.5

              League Season ALL FAV-WINS DOG-WINS
              NBA 2006/2007 10.60 11.75 8.28
              NBA 2007/2008 11.57 12.88 8.53
              NBA 2008/2009 11.05 11.80 9.31
              NBA 2009/2010 11.10 11.94 9.18
              NBA 2010/2011 10.60 11.73 8.14

              NCAAB 2006/2007 11.88 13.40 7.43
              NCAAB 2007/2008 11.60 13.02 7.40

How many seasons are you looking for in the NBA?...I have 30, but most people don't want/need that many seasons...
