Affordable fixture/results feed for football (soccer)
Anyone have any ideas? We have a subscription for one, which unfortunately isn't all that reliable. It's cheap, but the results come several hours late. There are major providers with good coverage and reliability, but they seem to want figures well into the four figures each month.

We're only looking for results and fixture feeds, not livescores so it's pretty weird that it's so hard to find/expensive.

Scraping it ourselves isn't an option since all good sources seem to IP-limit/ban after a while and it needs to be reliable as I said. The more leagues, the better.

Really? How often do you need it to be updated?

        Eh?
There are lots of great free services where even minor leagues are only a minute or two delayed.

In terms of "live scores" what is wrong with soccernet dot com or flashscore dot com.
Soccernet is also good for upcoming fixtures but I tend to use oddsportal dot com

There are so many for reliable and for free.
flashscore that I use often, as just a few seconds delay

If you have a page that will autoupdate with javascript, just create a simple webkit/gecko browser and scrape the page at some specific interval. Won't have to worry about refresh limits or bans.

The things you people are listing in this thread aren't data feeds, they're web pages...

But "If you have a page that will autoupdate with javascript, just create a simple webkit/gecko browser and scrape the page at some specific interval. Won't have to worry about refresh limits or bans." sounds pretty rowdy. Thanks for the advice, I'll look it up.
