    straddle bet (superbowl)
I don't see this game being a 3 point game but I'm not sure who's going to win.
    I'm thinking about betting
    GB -6.5 @ +170
    PIT -6.5 @ +254
The fact that books make the spread wide obviously diminishes the value in this bet...but is it at all reasonable?

I like it. Probably a -EV play, but it doesn't look bad to me

You could also tighten the spread at the cost of payout (reverse middle) and figure out a middle-ground where you're comfortable. Here's one alternative:

      PIT ML +131
      GB -3.5 +141

Guess this idea was too easy huh??
        7pt teaser. Each way.
Green Bay +4.5 or Pittsburgh +9.5
Then just use each side with one of the OVER/UNDERS you like..

Example.. Pitts +9.5, OVER +37.5 then,...backdoor this with.... Green Bay +4.5 and the over +37.5.

This way,..regardless of either team winning you have two touchdown spread for each team to come within. All you have to worry about is both teams either scoring OVER the 37.5 or if you choose,.the under -37.5
either way,. your getting a little value here. Not much,.but a little. your only real value will be as long as this is a close game and either goes way over or stays under.. Then your pretty much putting up 2/1.5,.. not terrible odds,.but decent with a good line.
Hope this helps a little man,.just another idea out of the millions.

You can't give more than four points in any bet involving Pittsburgh considering that the Packers have not lost a game by more than four points all year. (Four losses by three points, two losses by four points)

So what odds are you offering on Pitt -6.5 ?

This is the opposite of what I expect. A pleaser would be more reasonable.
