Question re: Ganchrow's Simultaneous Event Kelly Calculator.
Sports betting and handicapping forum: discuss picks, odds, and predictions for upcoming games and results on latest bets.

Following all of his settings in the example given at the bottom of the page, I get the results he states.

The instructions at bottom of page then state:
"If you decided you didn't want to bet any parlays of more than 2 teams, you'd set the stake sizes to zero for each parlay of 3 or more teams, and click the "Calculate Expectations" button. We see that this reduces expected profit by $3.66, expected growth by $0.04, expected bankroll after 17 weeks by $77.20, and median bankroll after 17 weeks by $0.74. It's left for each user to make hiw own determination as to whether he deems the reduction in number of bets placed worth the reduction in expectation."

I'm setting the stake sizes to zero by highlighting and deleting all of the listed 3 team parlays, then typing in $0.00.

But when I click "Calculate Expectations", nothing changes.

Is there a different way to "set the stake sizes to zero"?
    Something else I'm misunderstanding?

It is doing nothing for me as well. I suppose you can request for this to be fixed in the Site Suggestions subforum but I would rather recommend using Generic Kelly spreadsheet instead. It is too available in the Tools section.
