80% return on every Free Play!
I've got a free play, why would I not just bet both sides of a game? Only thing I can lose is juice, so I'd actually get a 90% return not 80. Is there something the books do to stop this? I can't see them doing it because You're able to hedge bets and this is basically doing that.

For example, with my 50$ free play here's what I propose
    Celtics +1.5 $25 to win 22.50
    Magic -1.5 $25 to win 22.50

In essence, I turn a 50$ free play into 47.50, thus earning 95% of my free play.

Where is the error in my logic, or is it solid?

You only keep your winnings from a free play.

You are on the right track...if your book lets you bet a big+ moneyline and then you get a good line on the otherside it's easy to get upwards of 70%.

You've lost me. You want me to take a huge dog at +300 or something then bet the other side with the points? That should leave an 8 pt spread in NFL and that would mean there's 8 different places I could get middled by the books and lose both!

At the top of the page under "sports picks" is betting tools- click on that then find "free play calculator". Its very easy to figure out from there.

If you can find like a +250 dog for the free play and at another book find the other side at -275 you turn that $50 into $33 (66%) guaranteed which is a quick easy profit.

This time of year hockey pucklines are great for this

BTW, there are in some instances better numbers than the example above but I'm always happy with 65% or more.

Try to find arbitrage between book and exchange.

Most places cap out at +200 (betphoenix)

Although they do allow parlays, so I've always been tempted to parlay two +200 teams

80% is the right goal though, just need the right approach.
