Which sites give the best info for cappers?
What sites does everyone use to help them handicap games? Is there one site that gives all the needed info (records, current spreads, revenge factors, etc)?

No one site provides it all. You, and any one else new, should spend a lot of time googling around. Statfox, Covers, ESPN, etc, are good starts, but in truth you need to get away from using public info because if it's public, it's in the line.

What you'll probably find is that certain sites present the info you like in the way you like it, and so you need to make the choices between them yourself.

I'm a proponent of building your own cross-checked db of the sports you cap as you will never find all the stats relevant to a game in one, two, or even three places; and to make matters worse, most sites have errors of some sort.

In the college football db I've built I have no less than 11 sources, some are magazines with data not found on-line.

What is the best site to tell me what the lines opened with, and what they are now?

A free solution to this would be http://www.sbrforum.com/scores/nfl-odds.aspx (for NFL - if you go to the navigation at the top of the page, rollover a sport and then click 'Odds & Scores', you can see it for any sport). You will see for each game there is a series of links called 'Odds History', which will show you all the line movements at most of the major sportsbooks.

Lines are useless, maybe using RLM can win you an extra game a year but it's much better to follow you own brain than line movements when making picks.

That being said I like covers.com for all my info, trends etc. It's free.

This is what I'm using. If I only bet with Bodog, should I have the opening line read BoDog's?

Cover's line movement is archived so you can do line studies.
