Anyone else hear of this new 'flex-teaser'?
I'm being offered a two team/total, college or pro football teaser, with 10 points to do whatever I want with. For example:
All on one team/ none on the other or any amount on one side up to the 10 points with the remaining points on another side total.
They may be both on the same game. They cost 6/5, and ties lose. No prohibition against crossing any numbers (Wong's 3 and 7 come to mind).
I know these are 2 points less than a conventional two team 6 pointer, and ties lose but i certainly can think of some great places for them.
    Thoughts?

6/5 is +120. Break-even for this is averaging 67.4% per leg.

Optimal strategy is using them as 5 pt Wong on NFL teasing teams that are +2.5 or -7.5. That's huge edge.

There should be several other spots as well. Just make sure your tease results in events that occur 67.4% (-207 in American Odds) or better.

Actually, 5 point teasing every football team (college or pro) that is +2.5 or -7.5 is massive. Round robin every game that fits that criteria and you'll crush him.

When he says they cost 6/5, I'm willing to bet he's laying -120. In which case they're garbage, since any time you would want to play one, you can play it better other ways.

yes Tom, that's why i put up all the details...they COST 6/5, meaning you're laying 120 to win 100. Aren't i better off with a conventional teaser, teasing with 6 points every game i can accross the Wong numbers..I don't think i was clear enough earlier based on the reply posts.??

Maybe if you need to 5pt tease one game and 7pt tease another because there's a shortage of good numbers?

A few facts that may help you. BE on a 5Pt teaser at -120 is 73.9% per leg. All NFL +2.5 dogs teased 5 points, 141-71-0 for 66.5%, All NFL -7.5 Favs teased down 5 points, 79-39-0 for 66.9%. If you included all -7 and all -7.5, 277-121-5 for 69.6%. Personally, I'd pass on this "good offer"!

I didn't do the math as I don't have these options, but -3.5 to -2.5, or +2.5 to +3.5, and then a -10.5 to -11.5 team teased down for the remaining points might work. (And if -10.5 tease from +2.5 to +4.5). I'd be a bit surprised if it did work, but you never know.

why would you take a 5pt 2 teamer at -120 instead of 6pt 2 teamer at -110 (at worst)?
