I started using them as a comparison only or additional resource for capping, but dunno if theyre valid stat on week 2 maybe when there are 4 games for each it would come in as a better predicting stat, also i use two different methods with yppt and i think they are more effective if you factor other info with them, like TO,injuries, etc.

        yards per point sucks

yards per play is where it is at if you adjust for a handful of things

I second that emotion, but with the following:

All knowable information about a match-up is already factored into the line.

I love using it early in the season for Totals. My biggest play this week utilized the YPPT of the Bucs. Check where they are now. Finished last year 25th I think it was.

              33?

              Over

              anyway, very useful tool

You can get the info from statfox for free, just click extended matchup and there will be a table with both teams stats yppt is there....Will be allot of work until you are able to build an excel sheet to do the calculations for you...

hrm... if I ever try to use yppt in a model, it is completely overwhelmed by ypp. The opposite is not true. have to think about this more.
