Picking aginst other bettors question?

I am new to sports betting and I am tracking others plays with 1 dollar units to see if I can find a winning strategy.

My question is about "fading" other bettors. It seems like a unpredictable strategy especially when the bettors your picking against are betting on games that are 50:50. How can this strategy be successful long term? Is it just about finding the bettors that are the most streaky?

Past streakiness isn't likely to be correlated with future streakiness, so it would do you no good.
