Percentage of BR on line each day
How much of your BR should you put at risk each day? If I bet on 8 baseball games on the rl or ml and 8 games on the o/u that is 16% of my BR based on 1% units. Depending on the types of games and betting multiple units I could potentially have ~ 40% at risk on any given day. The bets are spread out, 1 to 5 percent on each game, but I don't know how dangerous this is.

40% of your BR spread across 16 events, and in baseball no less... Disaster waiting to happen. Anytime you're putting more than about 10-12% of your BR in play at one time, you should have a very good reason to be doing so, and never spread out across so many events. The exception would be if your BR is really small and you're just having fun with it.

Don't think you should think in terms of "days". Really, it is just one big never-ending series of bets, with a break for sleep, pees and eats.

So how many bets come in any one "day" is irrelevant.

1-3% of bankroll on each play is good

dont worry if a particular day has alot of plays

don't set a fixed amount of plays for each day, every day will have a different amount of good plays

There is no answer to the original question, the key is if a game is +EV you play it, if not you don't. You may end up having one play for 3% or 20 plays for 90%, it does not matter. And 40% across 16 plays is fine (provided all plays are +EV of course), that is 2.5% per play.

Im not so sure you should focus on % per day. but rather per bet. And, as was stated, any bet which you feel is +ev should be bet. On the flip Side i Think if you are finding 16 bets a day that the +EV, you are overestimating your egde.

Agree, but it is a matter of your profile as a bettor, if more agressive theres no limit, if more conservative(like me) I would go something like 10% limiting the numbers of plays every day.bottom line there is no magic number.

there's a huge difference between 1% per play and 3% per play.

2% per play for me with plenty of times when my entire bankroll is in play. According to kelly you should lower your per play percentage when betting on a bunch of simultaneous events but I personally ignore that rule for ease of use.
