For example, say I have a bankroll of $5000 to invest in a certain type of bet that pays 6.5 to 1 (thus breakeven is 13.33%). Further assume that I am able to hit 15% consistently over a very large number of these plays. What % of my bankroll should I risk to optimize profits, while protecting against the inevitable long losing streaks?
