1. ## NHL Asian handicaps on Pinny

So pinny is dealling 0.75/1.25 pucklines just like with soccer. But I dont get how it makes any sense to bet -0.75.

For example a bet at -0.75 on toronto tonight is -117 split between at -0.5 and -1, the -1 odds are +119. Since there are no ties (OT market) -0.5 never plays. So in the case of the push on -1 the -0.75 loses half and the -1 loses nothing. This seems insane when you are paying MORE juice for the same outcome and only get 1/2 your bet back. Conversely the +0.75 seems to be much more valuable than the +1 market.

2. I think the -.5 does actually play cause that does not include OT or does it?

3. Yeah its OT markets game cannot tie

4. can you have a half goal market on a no tie situation, that would make no sense right?

I believe the portions underlined are incorrect....

if the game result lands on -1, that means the -0.5 goals = WINS HALF (not a loss)

 000000000 39 2:52pm 28-Oct-18 28-Oct-18 Hockey Handicap San Jose Sharks vs Anaheim Ducks (+0.5 and +1) for Game. -101 50.50 -25.25 4 - 3 NHL OT Included

7. what are you showing?

I thought you original post was discussing -0.75 which splits the -0.5 and -1 goals spread (emphasis MINUS SPREAD)

But now in that last example,
you posted +0.75 apparently, splits +0.5 and +1 goals spread = Not the same as Minus Spread

Let's stop wasting time making sense of this. You weren't consistent.
I still stand by my original comment regarding the -0.75

Your example there is +0.75 and you pushed the +1, while losing the +0.5 goals spread

8. the point is that a game can never tie, so +0.5/-0.5 never plays but yes lets stop wasting time

If your team wins by 1 goal you get a half win for the -0.5 and a half push on the -1, with a -0.75 line.

What do you mean the 0.5 never plays?

You are mistaken, unless specifically stated, all hockey handicaps on Pinnacle are without overtime so ties happen often. Check the rules.

Thanks for clearing that up Alfa.

Should have remembered that myself.

But the OP specifically said he was referring to the OT market. Pinny had both for NHL, one for Regulation, one for OT included.

Oh ok. Thought I could not log in to Pinny anymore since they ditched Aussies, but turns out I can! I see it.

Either way, the OP is confused in thinking the .5 halves don't play. OT or not.

He's thinking of it like a standalone -0.5/+0.5 bet which doesn't work for a game with no draw possibility. But it's not standalone, it's paired. And just because it always loses unless the team wins outright does not mean it does not play.

Tonight Bruins +0.5,+1.0 is +109 and +1.0 is -125

First bet gives you 50% back for a 1 goal loss and second option gives you 100% back. But 1st option gives you 34 cents more for an outright victory. That's how the 0.5 half of the bet has an effect.

Yes, seems like perfect read to me.

Well, this is just not true for NHL at Pinnacle.
Pinnacles main market and bets are OT included. To bet without OT, 'regular' time you have to scroll to the bottom of the page of the hockey market ( in Asian view anyway, that is what I use always)
Most of the euro hockey markets are regular time, without OT tho

Also I am mindblown that the OP thinks, the line never plays....sure, Pinny has milions riding on it but they 'oversee' sth like the OP claims
