    Info on Steam/Line Moves
Say a line moves from -9 to -10 for a nba or ncaab game. If I could still get the -9 at -110 is that value regardless of other stats or reasoning? I've often heard that if you know which way the line was going to move you could be very profitable. This is basically the same thing, you know the line is going to move because it already has. Therefore it would seem profitable if you could still get the -9 in this situation at -110 odds. Just thinking, give me your insights please.

Anyone have a R^2 value based on line moves, meaning the line moved from -9 to -10 so does that line move predict -9 would cover?

Use the half point calculator to find out how valuable that one point is going from -9 to -10 for different leagues. It is under SBR tools.

The one point is irrevelant. I want to know how predictable is the line move up for covering the favorite open line and the line move down for covering the dog open line.

Yes the one point is irrevelant to the question I am asking, because I just made up a number for an example. Donjuan, no doubt I realize you may be successful and I understand you have a lot of knowledge but I never see you offer anyone anything more than a short comment that is unhelpful.

If +10 gets played after the steam then there is real no value....otherwise yes

I always find it interesting when, with no information other than the old price of something, the current market price is not considered the best measure of what the good in question is worth.

Yeah I am not retarded, I believe I know that if I think -9 is good value and it goes to -10 I have lost value.

                            I don't care what a price/line once was

I only care about what it is now and if I can get a better price/line

Exactly my thoughts on the matter.

I've been forced to start doing like this as well.

Got killed with reverse linemove etc. I think you can bet WITH the public and AGAINST reverse linemove in NBA and make serious profit. Something is wrong with that league.
