In the NBA or CBB, at-110 odds when do you have a +EV middle? Is there an edge if you havethe favorite at -5 1/2 and in the same game the dog at +7 or do you need the dog at +7 1/2 for a favorable middle bet?

#23 half-points on a side. 5 half-points on a total (at least in NBA). I'm not sure of the exact half-point pricing in NCAAB.
You're usually betting off just taking "half the middle" though, unless both numbers are off market.Comment -

#3Thank you Justin, so at -5 1/2 and +7, it would be profitable long run. When you say "half a middle you mean bet more on the off number line instead of the wagering the same amount on both sides, correct?
So if the line is at +7 as of now in the above example the best wagers would be(for ex.)$110 to win $100 on the - 5 1/2 line and a wager of $55-50 on the +7 spread, is that correct, justin?Comment
