    Help me hedge
    Coming to the smart guys on here for the best strategy for tonight's game.
    I am the lone survivor if the Jets win tonight due to the 2 other guys choosing Broncos and losing earlier.
    Know I need to hedge but not sure the best path to take. Help me come up with the optimal solution.

    Jets win tonight I win $1250 (-$25 initial bet)
    Jets lose tonight and I win $476 (-$25 initial bet)

    Do I take the Bengals ML +350 or the +10 -110 and for what amount?

    Thanks for your help!

    Taking the points is not an effective hedge.
    If you want to hedge completely at +350 ML (better is available btw), you need to risk $172.

      Dunder nailed it.

      Basically, you will win $1225 or $451. The difference - $1225 - $451 is $774.

      You have a straight bet, $0 to win $774 on the Jets.

      If you want to make yourself flat betting cinci ML at +350, then
      774 - x = 3.5x
      The left side is your net winnings (above 451)if the Jets win, the right side is your additional winnings for the Bengals winning. Setting them equal means you no longer have any interest in the outcome of the agme.
      774=4.5x
      x = $172 ML bet on Cinci at +350.

        Thanks guys, I really appreciate your help. Put myself in this position so I could hedge thinking that I would know what the other 2 players would choose, but really wasn't sure how I would hedge if I got there. Only funded at one book which is my fault to begin with because I am leaving money on the table.
