    CBB Totals
Let's say you handicap a CBB game at 125. What kind of line advantage would you like to have to place a wager. If you liked the over and the line was 122 would 3 points be enough to get a decent edge? How many points off the total line would you look for to make your bet?

How confident are you of your numbers?

Is the market always moving towards where you cap the game?

Justin, I am pretty confident in my numbers. My numbers are usually pretty close(less than 3) with the actual opening number, but there are always a few that are off by more than three points. I just am not sure how many points would be needed to have an edge?

With the second part I would say the line move against me more often than not which is usually why I like to place wagers as early as possible.

Did you ever try the half point calculator?

I use it when comparing lines at different books and betting the better number but haven't used it when using my handicapped lines with the totals. I realize that probably would be the best way and will do so.

2 points is all you need at -110 juice

1 1/2 points if you have -105 juice.

Try, I will do that. How about sides, would a 1 point difference be enough to make a wager(my line vs. offshore line). Using Ganchrows half point calculator you have about the same edge when there is a difference of 2 points with a total and a 1 point side. Is 1 point enough though on a side though?
