    No Suspension for Russell Westbrook

He will play on Monday vs. Portland as the Thunder try to keep their playoff hopes alive.

It wouldn't of mattered I think without Westbrook they would've play team ball and it might've surprise people

He does take too many shots...

But he also is top 5 in assists and assists per game and is second in the league in assist percentage.

New Orleans is a much better playoff team and potential threat than Oklahoma City

I doubt either beats the Warriors in first round though.

Some things just are invisible to the eye test, without knowing those numbers and knowing he averages 8.6 assists per game it seems itd be hard to imagine such when youre watching the games, at least for me.

If Spurs rest players for Pels they could get 8th spot, otherwise seems Thunder will be on the outside looking in.

Was a bs technical to begin with. If any player in the league deserves a shot in a 1 game elimination to keep season alive it is Westbrook.

Well even those numbers don't tell the whole story. He leads the league in usage rate, leading the next highest by 5%

The other two players in the top 3 are Kobe and Wade, two players on teams without much of a supporting cast. Though the Kobe thing could be a small sample size anomaly.

Westbrook turns the ball over a ridiculous amount too. This also likely accounts for his very high usage rate. He isn't even in the top 50 in assist to turnover ratio which is kind of surprising considering he is top 5 in most assist related categories.

Interestingly he isn't in the top 50 in turnover rate either, but this is probably because he gets so many possessions every game.

Basketball statistics are a funny thing.

OKC will never win a Championship, if Brooks will continue to practice iso ball. Even with Durant and Ibaka, they wouldn't have gone to the Finals. They'll need a new coach sooner or later.

Yeah, it's so great that the Nets are in the playoffs and not the Thunder.

guy has a monster year and the Pelicans beat them out of the playoffs. Would have been interesting to have OKC vs. GS

The pelicans had Anthony Davis possibly the best all-around player in the NBA right now
