    CLE - Hue Jackson fired

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson was fired Monday, Oct. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Many Browns fans are wondering what took so long. Jackson has only won three games as the head coach of the Browns in 2.5 seasons. They're now going to try and find a fit for their team going forward and that means a coach who will work well with QB Baker Mayfield. Lincoln Riley, Mayfield's coach from Oklahoma, has been suggested as a possible replacement. Rumors also indicate the team could look at retired Sooners coach Bob Stoops. They'll have a complete overhaul of the coaching staff once the offseason hits.

    CLE - Todd Haley fired

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Todd Haley was fired Monday, Oct. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Head coach Hue Jackson was fired earlier on Monday. The Browns wasted no time in getting rid of Haley too. He struggled to get the Browns offense going and couldn't get Baker Mayfield going consistently. Without Haley to run the offense, the Browns turn to senior offensive assistant Al Saunders or quarterbacks coach Ken Zampese.

CLE - Gregg Williams calling the shots

Source: ESPN - Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter

Cleveland Browns defensive coordinator Gregg Williams will take over as interim head coach, according to sources.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams has previous head coaching experience, with the Bills (2001-2003) where he went 17-31 in three seasons. We doubt he stays in place after his interim gig as the head coach is done at the end of the 2018 season. The Browns need to find a coach that can get the best out of potential franchise QB Baker Mayfield.

LAC - RB Melvin Gordon may play in Week 9

    Source: ESPN.com - Eric D. Williams

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hamstring) has not been ruled out of the Week 9 game at this point, according to head coach Anthony Lynn.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon is expected to be practice in some capacity on Wednesday. We'll know more about his status at the end of the week.

TB - Ronald Jones to miss time

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Ronald Jones (hamstring) has been diagnosed with a strained hamstring and is expected to miss a few weeks, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bad news for the rookie running back here. Just when you thought he would emerge with a banged up Peyton Barber, we see Barber get healthy quick and Jones get banged up. If Jones misses a few weeks, the Buccaneers will use Jacquizz Rodgers and Shaun Wilson as the primary backups to Barber.

NYG - Two skill players work out for Giants

    Source: ESPN.com - Jordan Raanan

Free-agents QB Connor Cook (Panthers) and RB Akeem Hunt (Chiefs) worked out for the New York Giants Monday, Oct. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants are just updating their emergency list here. A fourth-round pick of the Raiders in 2016, the team moved on from him in early September this year. He wound up with the Panthers for about a month after that until getting released from their practice squad about three weeks ago. Hunt is an all-purpose back who can work well as a runner in space or a receiver out of the backfield. He was originally picked up by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2015.

DET - Big offer for WR Golden Tate needed

Source: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate will only be traded if the Lions are 'blown away' by an offer.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reports are swirling that Tate has a few teams interested. The Lions have Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. to turn to if Tate is dealt. Set to be a free agent in 2019, Tate must not be in their long-term plans. T.J. Jones would get work as a slot receiver if Tate is dealt. Stay tuned.

WAS - RB Chris Thompson hurts rib

    Source: ESPN.com - John Keim

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (rib) injured a rib on the other side of his rib cage from where he was already hurt.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thompson just can't shake the injury bug. Rib injuries always come down to pain tolerance. Whether or not he plays depends on how well he can handle the pain. If Thompson has to miss time, Washington could once again turn to Kapri Bibbs as the change-of-pace back behind Adrian Peterson.

BUF - WR Terrelle Pryor receives offer

    Source: ESPN.com - Josina Anderson

Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Terrelle Pryor (Jets) was offered a contract during his visit with the Buffalo Bills Monday, Oct. 29, according to a source. Pryor is considering the offer.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Jets let Pryor go even though it seemed like he was emerging a bit there in that clustered group of WRs. He had a groin injury that was going to knock him out for a couple of weeks and that's why the Jets let him go with the idea they could bring him back. Pryor has been drawing interest from around the league and obviously Buffalo felt good enough about him to offer him a contract.

TB - QB Jameis Winston to bench

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Jameis Winston was benched Monday, Oct. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Buccaneers are going with Ryan Fitzpatrick...for now. Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter said the team is taking this week-by-week. Winston's 2019 option is guaranteed only for injury, so he might stay on the bench the rest of the season...so long as Fitzpatrick plays well.

TB - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick back under center

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has been named the starting quarterback Monday, Oct. 29.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzpatrick can go off in any given game, and that's why he's a QB1 consideration for Fantasy GMs. He fits what the Bucs want to do better than Jameis Winston and certainly has stronger chemistry with DeSean Jackson. Fitzpatrick is as inconsistent as the day is long, so this 'magic' ride might not last but he's back as the starter for now. Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter says this team is taking it 'week-by-week' with the quarterback.

MIA - QB Ryan Tannehill throwing

Source: The Miami Herald - Adam H. Beasley

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) is throwing, but it's just a question of how much power he has behind the ball, according to head coach Adam Gase.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll know more about Tannehill's Week 9 status on Wednesday according to Gase. This report indicates there might still be some healing left to do. That means we might see Brock Osweiler start for the Dolphins again as they play the Jets on Sunday.

DEN - WR Demaryius Thomas could fetch a third

    Source: MMQB - Peter King

Denver Broncos WR Demaryius Thomas could probably be acquired for a third-round pick, in the opinion of MMQB's Peter King.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That price tag could be a bit high. Thomas isn't quite the same player he used to be, but there might be a team out there in need of a quality no.2 wide receiver. The Broncos have Courtland Sutton to take over for Thomas if they trade him away.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger injured finger in win

Source: NFL Network - Aditi Kinkhabwala

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (finger) sustained an injury to the index finger on his left hand during the second quarter of the team's Week 8 game against the Cleveland Browns, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good thing the Steelers didn't have much work to do in the second half against the Browns. It seems like Roethlisberger is always a little bit banged up so this is nothing new. He might be a bit limited during the week of practice but we fully expect him to play against the Ravens in Week 9.

        Wednesday Update

BUF - QB Matt Barkley to visit Buffalo

Source: NFL Network - Peter Schrager

Free-agent QB Matt Barkley (Bengals) has a visit scheduled with the Buffalo Bills Wednesday, Oct. 30. If he signs he could serve as the Bills' backup quarterback this week with injuries to QBs Josh Allen (elbow) and Derek Anderson (concussion).

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills need to do something with both Allen and Anderson banged up. If they feel Anderson won't be able to get through the concussion protocol this week, then we could see them add Barkley.

BUF - One-year deal for WR Terrelle Pryor

        Source: BuffaloBills.com - Chris Brown

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills WR Terrelle Pryor signed a one-year deal Tuesday, Oct. 30. CB Dontae Johnson was released in a corresponding move.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Pryor is an upgrade for one of the league's worst WR groups. He'll compete with Zay Jones and Andre Holmes for snaps/targets behind Kelvin Benjamin. There's not a ton of fantasy value in Buffalo's passing game.

BUF - QB Nathan Peterman likely to start

        Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Buffalo Bills QB Nathan Peterman is expected to start this week with QB Derek Anderson (concussion) dealing with a concussion, according to sources.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Get ready for more interceptions. Fantasy GMs can feel confident about starting the Bears defense in Week 9 with Peterman starting.

TB - WR DeSean Jackson staying put

        Source: ESPN.com - Josina Anderson

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR DeSean Jackson will not be traded prior to the deadline Tuesday, Oct. 30.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reports indicated that Jackson requested a trade from the Buccaneers but that's not going to happen. With QB Ryan Fitzpatrick taking over as the starter it's good news for Jackson. Fitzpatrick and Jackson seem to have a much stronger chemistry than the veteran receiver has with Jameis Winston. Jackson maintains his flex value (with upside) for the Bucs.

GB - Green Bay trades RB Ty Montgomery

        Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Green Bay Packers RB Ty Montgomery was traded to the Baltimore Ravens Tuesday, Oct. 30, in exchange for a 2020 seventh-round pick, according to a source.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This move comes just two days after Montgomery's costly fumble on special teams against the Rams. Montgomery is incredibly versatile as a runner and receiver out of the backfield but wasn't getting used that much with the Packers in 2018. The Packers roll forward with Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams as their top two backs.

BAL - RB Ty Montgomery joins Ravens

        Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Green Bay Packers RB Ty Montgomery was acquired by the Baltimore Ravens Tuesday, Oct. 30, in exchange for a 2020 seventh-round pick, according to a source.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Ravens needed some help in the backfield and they get that with Montgomery. The converted wide receiver brings his incredibly versatile skill set to the Ravens backfield where he should take over from Buck Allen as the primary pass-catching back. So long as Montgomery can stay healthy, he should have deep flex value for Fantasy GMs.

SEA - Seattle cuts WR Brandon Marshall

        Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Seattle Seahawks WR Brandon Marshall was released Tuesday, Oct. 30, according to a source.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Seahawks don't need Marshall with the emergence of David Moore. He's taken the 'big receiver' role behind Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett. Marshall is not the same player he used to be and is almost at the end of his pro career.

DET - WR Marvin Jones' contract restructured

        Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones had his contract restructured so as to save the Lions $2.2 million against their salary cap, according to a source.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones is now signed through the 2020 season. With Golden Tate traded away to the Eagles, Jones and Kenny Golladay are the top two wide receivers for the Lions. T.J. Jones will now work into the slot for the Lions.

PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger has fractured finger

Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Gerry Dulac

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (finger) fractured his left index finger in Week 8, but the injury is not expected to sideline him or keep him from performing well, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The injury is to his non-throwing hand so this is likely a non issue for the Steelers quarterback. Watch his practice status during the week but he should be ready for the game against the Ravens on Sunday.

DET - Detroit ships WR Golden Tate for draft pick

        Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles Tuesday, Oct. 30, in exchange for a third-round draft pick, according to a source.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Lions didn't have Tate in their long-term plans and getting a third-round pick for him is a positive move. T.J. Jones will now work into the slot for the Lions. Marvin Jones Jr. and Kenny Golladay will start on the outside.

PHI - WR Golden Tate headed to Philly

        Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

WR Golden Tate (Lions) was acquired by the Philadelphia Eagles on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in trade with the Detroit Lions in exchange for a third-round draft pick, according to a source.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's a great move for the Eagles as Tate is a fine slot receiver. He can make a lot of things happen after the catch and should work into a role opposite Alshon Jeffery. Tate can play on the outside or in the slot. His arrival with the defending Super Bowl champs is bad news for Nelson Agholor (who was already disappointing this year anyway).

HOU - Houston acquires WR Demaryius Thomas

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating a previous report, WR Demaryius Thomas (Broncos) was acquired by the Houston Texans on Tuesday, Oct. 30, in a trade with the Denver Broncos. The Broncos will receive a fourth-round draft pick in return, and the teams also will swap seventh-round selections.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Texans needed some help at the wide receiver position with the season ending knee injury to Will Fuller. Thomas may not be the player he used to be, but he could be the best no.2 receiver in the NFL. He'll start for the Texans opposite DeAndre Hopkins and may get a slight boost in his fantasy value because of the upgrade he's getting at quarterback. Catching passes from Deshaun Watson certainly sounds more exciting than catching passes from Case Keenum.

NYG - Kyle Lauletta arrested in traffic incident

Source: Rodrigo Torrejon - North Jersey Record

New York Giants QB Kyle Lauletta was arrested in a traffic stop on his way to practice Tuesday, Oct. 30, in Weehawken, N.J., after allegedly almost striking a police officer with his vehicle. 'We were made aware of the situation this morning, and we have been in contact with Kyle,' Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said Tuesday. 'We are still in the process of gathering information. This is obviously very disappointing.'

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A fourth-round pick out of Richmond this year, Lauletta could be in line for some starts with the Giants as Eli Manning struggles. Not much is known about this situation just yet, but they'll get to the bottom of it and figure out what led to the rookie quarterback's arrest.

CIN - WR A.J. Green seen in walking boot

Source: The Athletic - Jay Morrison

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (foot) was seen in the team's locker room Tuesday, Oct. 30, wearing a walking boot on his right foot.

        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The walking boot is reportedly just a precautionary move. Green is expected to be fine, but keep an eye on his practice status next week (the Bengals are on bye in Week 9).

              Thursday Update

MIA - QB Brock Osweiler starting again

              Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra

Miami Dolphins QB Brock Osweiler will make another start this week with QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) being ruled out with his nagging shoulder injury.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We get some clarity about the Dolphins quarterback situation and it's going to be Osweiler again. Tannehill is throwing but the team wants to see him throw with better velocity. He's close but one more week of Osweiler is now set.

DEN - RB Royce Freeman not practicing

Source: The Athletic - Nicki Jhabvala

Denver Broncos RB Royce Freeman (ankle) was not able to practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Freeman has a high ankle sprain and he had to miss last week's game against the Chiefs. He is no lock to play on Sunday against the Texans. We could see more of Devontae Booker as the backup to Phillip Lindsay in Week 9.

WAS - RB Adrian Peterson, RB Chris Thompson don't practice

Source: NBC Sports Washington - JP Finlay

Washington Redskins RBs Chris Thompson (rib) and Adrian Peterson (rest) were held out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson's rest day is not a big deal. He should be good to go for Week 9 and has RB2 upside for Fantasy GMs. Thompson's rib injury all comes down to pain tolerance. Check on his practice status later in the week.

GB - RB Jamaal Williams to become third-down back?

Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Tom Silverstein

Green Bay Packers RB Jamaal Williams is likely to get 'most' of the third-down work, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Tom Silverstein, who indicated RB Aaron Jones should receive the majority of the early-down touches.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's interesting to have a power back like Williams in on third downs. In seven games this year, Williams has been targeted 17 times and has only eight catches. Jones is arguably a better receiving back and in five games this year he has been targeted eight times and has six catches. It will be interesting to see who gets the most work as a receiver out of the backfield now that Ty Montgomery has been traded to the Ravens.

NO - WR Michael Thomas limited Wednesday

              Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (shoulder) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Keep an eye on this shoulder injury for Thomas. The injury does not seem to be serious but make sure to check on his practice status this Friday.

NE - RB Sony Michel limited

              Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) was limited during practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The rookie didn't play on Monday night against the Bills. That means he should be ready for the game against the Packers on Sunday.

NE - No practice for WR Julian Edelman

              Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (ankle, illness) did not participate in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman is getting some veteran rest here. The Patriots are usually clandestine as much as they possibly can be with their injury report. Make sure to check on Edelman's status at the end of the week.

SF - RB Raheem Mostert questionable for Week 9

              Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers RB Raheem Mostert (ankle) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31 and officially listed as questionable for the Week 9 game against the Oakland Raiders on Thursday, Nov. 1.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The 49ers are at home against the Raiders on Thursday night. Mostert has an uneven role with this team as the backup to Matt Breida. He's not worth more than a 'what the heck' flex in Week 9.

SF - RB Matt Breida questionable for TNF

              Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers RB Matt Breida (ankle) was listed as a limited participant for the third straight day on Wednesday, Oct. 31 and he is questionable for Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Breida is going to continue playing with this nagging injury. The Raiders aren't good defensively but a banged up Breida is only worth starting as a RB3/flex play in Week 9.

SF - QB C.J. Beathard officially questionable

              Source: 49ers.com

San Francisco 49ers QB C.J. Beathard (wrist) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31 and he is questionable for Week 9 against the Oakland Raiders on Thursday, Nov. 1.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Beathard should play on Thursday night against the Raiders. 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has called Beathard a game-time decision in Week 9. Fantasy GMs are best to avoid this situation.

BAL - RB Alex Collins limited in practice

              Source: BaltimoreRavens.com

Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (foot) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It was a limited practice for Collins on Wednesday, and we'll know more about his playing status on Friday. The Ravens traded for Ty Montgomery on Tuesday, so it will be interesting to see how they split up these touches in the backfield.

LAC - RB Melvin Gordon puts in limited practice

              Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon is on track to return this week. The Chargers held him out of action in Week 7 and the Chargers were on a bye in Week 8. So long as there are no setbacks during the week, Gordon should be a RB1 for Fantasy GMs in Week 9.

MIA - RB Kenyan Drake able to go full

Miami Dolphins RB Kenyan Drake (shoulder) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Drake has plenty of upside this week against the Jets. He's a RB2 or flex play for the Dolphins in Week 9 and he's got the upside to be more if the team starts increasing his touches.

KC - TE Travis Kelce should be good to go

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (shoulder) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kelce is good to go against the Browns on Sunday. Anytime he's on the field, Kelce is a TE1 for Fantasy GMs.

KC - WR Tyreek Hill practices in full

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (groin) was able to take part in a full practice session Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hill's groin injury against the Broncos happened late in the game. A full practice on Wednesday signals there are no concerns about his availability on Sunday against the Browns.

HOU - WR DeAndre Hopkins limited Wednesday

              Source: HoustonTexans.com

Houston Texans WR DeAndre Hopkins (foot) was listed as a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It seems like Hopkins is limited on Wednesday every week. He's good to go against the Broncos on Sunday.

MIN - RB Dalvin Cook logs limited practice

              Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings have a bye in Week 10 and we may not see Cook back on the field until after that. He's practicing on a limited basis now so perhaps he could get back in action sooner than most thought. Stay tuned.

TB - Peyton Barber limited in practice

              Source: Buccaneers.com - Carmen Vitali

Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Peyton Barber (ankle) was listed as limited participant in practice Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Make sure to get an update on Barber's status later in the week. If he's playing, Barber is a RB3 for Fantasy GMs against the Panthers.

CLE - RB Duke Johnson fully practices

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson (back) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll be interested to see if Johnson gets worked more into the mix with the coaching changes in Cleveland. We've got him as a 'what the heck' flex in deep leagues against the Chiefs on Sunday.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen has limited practice

              Source: ESPN.com - David Newton

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen (foot) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Oct. 31.

              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's Wednesday and Olsen is limited...just like he's going to be all season long. We expect him to play in Week 9 and Olsen should post TE1 numbers against the Buccaneers.

YG - Kyle Lauletta arrested in traffic incident

The Giants are a complete disaster .

                  Friday Update

NE - No practice for TE Rob Gronkowski

                  Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

Updating a previous report, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This puts Gronk's Sunday night status in doubt, at least until we see tomorrow's practice report. He was limited yesterday so this is a dreaded mid-week downgrade. Chris Hogan would get a bump if Gronkowski can't go.

MIN - RB Dalvin Cook remains limited

                  Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook (hamstring) was limited in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Vikings have a bye next week so they should be very cautious with Cook. We still expect Latavius Murray to get the start in the excellent matchup.

LAR - WR Cooper Kupp a limited participant

                  Source: NewOrleansSaints.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kupp is expected back for the Sunday afternoon game and he'll draw the best matchup of the Rams receivers this week.

MIA - Another limited practice for QB Ryan Tannehill

                  Source: NFLCommunications.com

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) was limited in practice again Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Tannehill isn't likely to play against the Jets this week, yielding to Brock Osweiler in a winnable game for Miami.

WAS - RB Chris Thompson sits out

                  Source: NFLCommunications.com

Washington Redskins RB Chris Thompson (rib) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Thompson is looking like a scratch again this week. Kapri Bibbs is a good deep sleeper against an Atlanta defense that has struggled covering running backs as receivers this year.

GB - WR Randall Cobb listed as limited

                  Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Cobb might not be 100% yet and the team is using him in a WR2/WR3 committee with Geronimo Allison, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Equanimeous St. Brown. He's a low ceiling WR3/Flex in a potentially high-scoring matchup.

LAC - RB Melvin Gordon remains limited

                  Source: Chargers.com

Los Angeles Chargers RB Melvin Gordon (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'd like to see Gordon get in a full practice or get removed from the injury report tomorrow to lessen the worry of a Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook situation that turns into a prolonged absence because of a premature return.

ATL - No practice for WR Mohamed Sanu

                  Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Mohamed Sanu (hip) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Sanu and the Falcons are facing a very tough Washington defense anyway, so he wasn't an attractive play this week even with six teams on bye. He could be out and help the case for putting Austin Hooper and Calvin Ridley in lineups this week.

KC - WR Tyreek Hill a limited participant

                  Source: Chiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (groin) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hill was a full participant yesterday, so we'll be watching the reports tomorrow to make sure he's safe for Sunday's game at Cleveland.

CLE - RB Duke Johnson practices in full

                  Source: ClevelandBrowns.com

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson (thigh) fully participated in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson could have a good week if the Browns fall behind and have to play catchup ball in the second half. He had almost half of his receptions and touchdowns when the team was trailing by multiple scores last year.

CHI - WR Allen Robinson misses practice

                  Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears WR Allen Robinson (groin) was not able to practice for a second straight day Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Robinson is going to be out again for Week 9. The Bears should have a conservative game plan against Nathan Peterman anyway, relying on the run and safe passing. Robinson would have run into Tre'Davious White in his matchup if he was able to go.

CHI - Full practice for WR Taylor Gabriel

                  Source: ChicagoBears.com

Chicago Bears WR Taylor Gabriel (knee) practiced in full Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gabriel could get an extra target or two if Allen Robinson is still out on Sunday, although the Bills defense will be no pushover for the Bears.

NE - Limited practice for RB Sony Michel

                  Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots RB Sony Michel (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Michel has a decent chance to return for Sunday night's game and he should get his normal 15-20 carries if he does. The Patriots should seek to ride Michel to keep Aaron Rodgers on the sidelines.

NE - WR Josh Gordon limited

                  Source: Patriots.com

New England Patriots WR Josh Gordon (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gordon hasn't gotten back his usual explosion yet this year, likely due to the hamstring. He's an upside WR3/Flex play but might see a lot break out rookie corner Jaire Alexander on Sunday night.

TEN - WR Corey Davis a limited participant

                  Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport

Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis (hamstring) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We never like to see Davis listed with a hamstring issue. He is only a fringe fantasy WR3/Flex starter with poor offensive performances and only one big game this year even though six teams are on bye this week.

MIN - No practice for WR Stefon Diggs

                  Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (rib) was unable to practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs said he was going to play, but we'll want to check back on Sunday unless he is removed from the injury report tomorrow. He might see a lot of Darius Slay on Sunday.

TB - WR Mike Evans listed as limited

Source: The Athletic - Greg Auman

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (knee) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It seems like Evans should be fine for a high ceiling matchup against the Panthers this week. He came alive as soon as Ryan Fitzpatrick took the field last week.

NYJ - WR Robby Anderson sits out again

                  Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Robby Anderson (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Anderson is unlikely to return for the matchup in Miami and even if he does, he would likely see a lot of Xavien Howard.

NYJ - WR Quincy Enunwa does not practice

                  Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini

New York Jets WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Nov. 1.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jermaine Kearse should be getting more targets while Enunwa and Robby Anderson are out, but he has failed to deliver for two weeks with increased opportunity.

BAL - RB Alex Collins misses Thursday practice

Source: The Athletic - Jeff Zrebiec

Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (foot) missed practice Thursday, Nov. 1, with a foot injury.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Collins was limited yesterday, so this could be a bad sign. Ty Montgomery just joined the team and they also have power runner Gus Edwards on the roster, but Buck Allen would likely get the majority of work against the Steelers if Collins can't go.

                  33. NE - WR Julian Edelman back on the field

Source: Boston Herald - Kevin Duffy

New England Patriots WR Julian Edelman (ankle, illness) returned to practice Thursday, Nov. 1, after sitting out the previous day.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Edelman should be in line for a big night on Sunday facing one of the better matchups in the Green Bay secondary from the slot.

I'm worried about Melvin Gordon have him penciled in there in two leagues but him being questionable is not good especially since its a hamstring injury and they play in the afternoon. Need a big day from him as he has a great matchup but they may choose to rest him again which would suck for me.

Hamstring s are tough because they can re injur early to mid game

                                  Sunday Update

BUF - Quick impact for WR Terrelle Pryor?

                                  Source: WKBW.com - Joe Buscaglia

Buffalo Bills WR Terrelle Pryor has been learning the playbook quickly and could have a 'legitimate role' against the Chicago Bears in Week 9, according to Joe Buscaglia of WKBW.com.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is one to watch. It's tough to predict how much, if any, Pryor will produce but it's fair warning from Bills writer Joe Buscaglia to not sleep on him.

GB - WR Geronimo Allison downgraded to out

                                  Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers WR Geronimo Allison (hamstring, groin) was officially ruled out for Week 9 Saturday, Nov. 3.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Allison in the lineup it opens the door for rookie Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He's got WR3 or flex appeal in Week 9.

ARI - Arizona parts with QB Sam Bradford

                                  Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford was released Saturday, Nov. 3.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's amazing to think that Bradford signed a two-year, $40 million contract with the Cardinals back in March. The Cardinals ended up paying him roughly $13.5 million in salary and bonuses...all for three games of action. The Cardinals move forward with Josh Rosen continuing as their starter and Mike Glennon working as his primary backup.

NYG - QB Sam Bradford not of interest to Giants

Source: ESPN - Dianna Marie Russini

Free-agent QB Sam Bradford (Cardinals) will not be pursued by the New York Giants following his release from the Arizona Cardinals, according to a source.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Giants are struggling on offense, largely due to the ineffective play of QB Eli Manning. With rookie Kyle Lauletta as his only primary backup, the Giants season seems like it won't get back on track. It's not like Bradford is the answer, but perhaps the team should think about all options...unless they are just playing out the rest of the season in hopes of getting the best possible draft pick.

BAL - RB Alex Collins will play in Week 9

Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora

Baltimore Ravens RB Alex Collins (foot) will suit up against the Pittsburgh Steelers this week despite missing practice time.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Collins is the lead back for the Ravens but the snaps will be distributed differently this week against the Steelers. The Ravens traded for Ty Montgomery earlier in the week and we're anxious to see how he fits into the RBBC with Collins and Buck Allen.

TEN - WR Corey Davis on track to play

                                  Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans WR Corey Davis (hamstring) fully participated in practice Saturday, Nov. 3, and is not on the injury report for Week 9.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Davis has had a real up and down season in 2018. Going up against the Cowboys on Monday, Davis is worth considering as a low-end WR2 or flex in PPR leagues.

HOU - RB Tyler Ervin likely to be slot WR

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans RB Tyler Ervin likely will serve as the slot receiver for the Texans in Week 9 with WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) ruled out.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ervin is dangerous with the ball in open space. He's not as quick or elusive as Coutee and is only worth looking at as a 'what the heck' flex against the Broncos in Week 9.

CLE - WR Rashard Higgins confident about status

Source: The Chronicle-Telegram - Scott Petrak

Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins (knee) said he fully expects to play in the Week 9 game even though he is listed as questionable.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Higgins hasn't played since Week 5 due to this sprained MCL. He practiced Thursday and Friday this week and should be on track to play. We're interested to see how the Browns offense works with the coaching changes earlier this week. Higgins is nothing more than a 'what the heck' flex if he does play in Week 9.

DET - WR Bruce Ellington works out for Detroit

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Free-agent WR Bruce Ellington (Texans) worked out for the Detroit Lions Saturday, Nov. 3, according to a source.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ellington was waived by the Texans with an injury settlement just a few days ago. The Lions are updating their emergency list at the WR position since they traded away Golden Tate (Eagles) earlier this week.

BUF - QB Derek Anderson still in concussion protocol

                                  Source: NFL.com

Buffalo Bills QB Derek Anderson (concussion) remains in concussion protocol, according to head coach Sean McDermott. He has not been able to practice all week and is listed as questionable for Week 9's game against the Chicago Bears.

                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Anderson unlikely to play, we should see Matt Barkley as the primary backup for the Bills in Week 9. Nathan Peterman is going to start this week.

NYJ - TE Chris Herndon streaking

New York Jets TE Chris Herndon has caught a touchdown pass in three straight games heading into a Week 9 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.

The last two starting TEs to face the Dolphins (Michael Roberts of the Lions and Jordan Thomas of the Texans) have scored two touchdowns each against Miami. That's great news for Herndon who makes for a nice sleeper at the position in Week 9.

'Cleveland decided to fire not only their head coach Hue Jackson, but their offensive coordinator Todd Haley as well' Watch the Chiefs win by two touchdowns in a beat down. All the teams in Cleveland in rebuilding mode with the Indians expected to trade Corey Kluber?!

Patriots will test TE Rob Gronkowski (back) and RB Sony Michel (knee) pregame, but there is concern about whether both players listed as questionable will be able to play tonight vs Packers, per sources.

Why do they test it before the game? Can they test it at 1 pm? What can happen between 1 pm and 8 pm? A miracle?

They will probably get continued treatment during the day.

                                                Monday Update

ATL - RB Tevin Coleman piles up 156 total yards

                                                Source: ESPN.com

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman rushed 13 times for 88 yards and caught five passes for 68 yards and two touchdowns in a 38-14 win over the Washington Redskins in Week 9.

The Falcons finally used Coleman more frequently and creatively in the passing game a la 2016 in the end of the Kyle Shanahan era. He'll be a tempting RB2 against the Browns next week.

CLE - RB Duke Johnson huge as receiver

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Cleveland Browns RB Duke Johnson rushed just once for eight yards in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs, but he posted a game-high nine grabs with a team-best 78 yards and two touchdowns.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson was a fantasy non-factor until this week, but with a change in offensive coordinator and head coach this could be a trend. The Browns face the Falcons next week, which has been a great matchup for receiving running backs.

CLE - RB Nick Chubb busy in Week 9 loss

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb registered 22 rushes for 85 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Kansas City.

The Browns stayed committed to the run despite falling behind, which is comforting when playing Chubb as your RB2. Atlanta shut down Adrian Peterson today, and that's who Chubb will play next week.

CLE - QB Baker Mayfield just misses 300 yards

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield completed 29-of-42 passes for 297 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Week 9 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mayfield did better in the Freddie Kitchens offense, using more of Duke Johnson and even hooking up with Antonio Callaway in the deep passing game. He's a viable streamer against the Falcons next week.

KC - RB Spencer Ware totals 81 yards

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Kansas City Chiefs RB Spencer Ware posted two rushes for just 12 yards in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns, but he added four grabs for 69 yards on five targets.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Ware looked as good as he did when he was flirting with RB1 numbers in 2016. If Kareem Hunt goes down, he'll be a league winner. Ware is the most valuable handcuff in the league.

KC - RB Kareem Hunt finds end zone three times

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Kansas City Chiefs RB Kareem Hunt registered 17 rushes for 91 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 9 win against the Cleveland Browns and he scored a 50-yard touchdown on a catch, too.

Hunt was a monster play and is rivaling any back in the league in fantasy impact right now. He'll be set up for a massive game against the Cardinals next week.

TB - WR Mike Evans keyed on by Carolina

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans posted just one grab for 16 yards on 10 targets in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Evans had James Bradberry in his face at times and the downfield passing game never heated up for the Bucs in this game. He's still a must play against Washington next week.

TB - WR Adam Humphries shines in Carolina

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Adam Humphries managed eight receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Humphries had been an afterthought for Fitzpatrick earlier in the year, but he was heavily used against the Panthers with their outside corners taking away Mike Evans and DeSean Jackson. He could have another nice week against Washington this week and should be picked up in all leagues.

TB - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick tosses four TDs

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Ryan Fitzpatrick completed 24-of-40 passes for 243 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 9 against the Carolina Panthers. He also ran for 23 yards.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fitzpatrick started slow, but eventually got the Bucs within a score in the second half. There's no reason he would lose his job going into a matchup against a Washington defense that didn't look nearly as good as its ranking today against Atlanta.

CAR - WR Devin Funchess so-so in victory

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess posted four receptions for 44 yards on five targets in the Week 9 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Funchess is becoming the victim of a deep group of weapons in the Panthers passing game. He is still playing well, but his target share isn't high enough to make him a dependable every week start right now.

CAR - TE Greg Olsen busy in home victory

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Carolina Panthers TE Greg Olsen logged six receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown on six targets in the Week 9 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Olsen has looked like his old self the last two weeks and is showing no ill effects from the foot injury he is playing through. Consider him a strong TE1 against the Steelers on Thursday.

CAR - WR Curtis Samuel scores two times

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel posted two grabs for 25 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and he added a 33-yard rush for score.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Samuel stole DJ Moore's thunder in a week that most had Moore as a strong play. The Panthers have a deep group of weapons that may make it difficult to project this passing game.

CHI - RB Jordan Howard accounts for two TDs

Chicago Bears RB Jordan Howard rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries against the Buffalo Bills in Week 9.

Howard was able to score twice because the Bears dominated the game. We are seeing his ceiling games which are modest but useful. He'll be worth an RB2 look against the Lions next week too.

MIN - WR Adam Thielen's 100-yard streak ends

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Minnesota Vikings WR Adam Thielen registered four receptions for 22 yards and a touchdown in Week 9 against the Detroit Lions, ending his NFL record-tying streak of eight-straight games with 100 or more yards.

Thielen didn't really need to break a sweat with the Lions never really threatening in this one. This result shouldn't affect your perception of his value going forward.

MIN - RB Dalvin Cook back with 89 yards

Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook rushed 10 times for 89 yards in Week 9 against the Detroit Lions and he added four receptions for 20 yards.

Cook had a 70-yard run to show his hamstring is just fine and he was heavily involved early. He has the look of an RB1 or at least strong RB2 after the bye.

PIT - WR Antonio Brown reaches end zone again

Pittsburgh Steelers WR Antonio Brown caught five passes for 42 yards and one touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9.

Brown didn't have any big plays, but he didn't have to as the Steelers controlled the game. He will face a good young corner in a marquee matchup against the Panthers on Thursday.

PIT - RB James Conner plays well again

Pittsburgh Steelers RB James Conner rushed for 107 yards on 24 carries against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. He also caught seven passes for 56 yards and one touchdown during the game.

Conner has become every bit the engine of the Steelers offense and fantasy team that LeVeon Bell was going into this year. He should maintain a fantasy relevant role when Bell returns - if he returns. He'll surely start and carry the load on Thursday night against the Panthers no matter what Bell does on Monday.

DET - RB Kerryon Johnson bottled up in loss

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Detroit Lions RB Kerryon Johnson rushed 12 times for just 37 yards in Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings and he added three grabs for seven yards on five targets.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Johnson watched Theo Riddick get the majority of the running back targets and a game script and matchup that never got him on track. He's slipping from the RB2 ranks next week at Chicago.

DET - Poor number for QB Matthew Stafford

                                                Source: 1 No Source

Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford completed 25-of-36 passes for just 199 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in the Week 9 loss against the Minnesota Vikings and he added four runs for 11 yards.

                                                [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Stafford and the Lions offense was feeble against a tough Vikings defense without Golden Tate. They were able to put together some long drives, but couldn't finish with touchdowns. Next week brings another test against the Bears on the road with lower expectations for everyone, including the Lions receivers who have newfound opportunity.

Looks like I'm going to have to start Tevin Coleman going forward in the one league I have him in. I thought Kamara and Ingram would be a deadly combination like they were last year but it looks like Kamara is going to get as much as he can handle this year and Ingram will take a backseat.
