HOU - Houston wants to manage RB Lamar Miller better
Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson
Houston Texans RB Lamar Miller carried a career-high 268 times for 1,073 yards and five touchdowns in 2016. While head coach Bill O'Brien won't rule out a repeat performance, he acknowledged during the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine the team wants to be smart about managing his workload, especially early in the season.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Miller should be in for another 1,000 yard season this year. The Texans are built to make a deep postseason run if they can just get average QB play. We're likely to see rookie first-round pick DeShaun Watson as their starter at some point in 2017...maybe even Week 1.

NYJ - WR Eric Decker release looking less likely
Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini
New York Jets WR Eric Decker (hip, shoulder) is still a candidate to be a post-June 1 cut, but ESPN's Rich Cimini would be 'surprised' if the team ends up cutting him.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Brandon Marshall is playing for the Giants this year, so Decker is going to be the top target for the Jets passing game. He's coming off hip and shoulder surgeries, but Decker should be good to go around training camp. Even in what should be a fairly anemic passing game, Decker has fantasy value as a WR3/flex option. His current ADP reflects the Jets potential offensive woes at WR36 (8.05) in 12-team PPR leagues.

MIN - Dalvin Cook makes early impression
Source: St. Paul Pioneer Press - Chris Tomasson
Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook has impressed head coach Mike Zimmer during rookie minicamp. 'He showed acceleration, good feet, good vision, a lot of the same things we saw on tape,' Zimmer said.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Cook should be making a positive impression, so long as he holds onto the rock and stays healthy. As a runner, Cook has good vision outside of the tackles and burst to make plays in a little amount of space. Injuries, fumbling problems and off-field concerns caused him to fall in the 2017 NFL draft. If he stays on the right track, Cook could make an immediate impact for the Vikings offense. His current ADP is RB48 (10.12) in 12-team PPR leagues.

TEN - TE Delanie Walker to teach Jonnu Smith
Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt
Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker said he expects TE Jonnu Smith to be a sponge and believes Smith will have an opportunity to contribute and play.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
A third-round pick from Florida International, Smith was often compared to Walker by those in the scouting community. He's super athletic and can rip the seam down the middle of the field. Smith is a move tight end at the pro level, but he needs to play with better concentration in order to play up to his potential.

NO - WR Willie Snead still has not signed
Source: The Times-Picayune - Josh Katzenstein
New Orleans Saints exclusive rights free-agent WR Willie Snead still has not signed his tender offer but is not allowed to sign with another team.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Snead doesn't really have a choice as an ERFA. He can either play for the Saints or retire from football. He's hoping the Saints make a move to sign him to a contract extension that pays him a more appropriate wage for what he brings to the team. They'll need Snead more than ever since Brandin Cooks was traded to the Patriots.

NE - WR Michael Floyd will not return to Pats
Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss
Free-agent WR Michael Floyd (Patriots) will not be re-signing with the New England Patriots this offseason, according to ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Patriots made the move to add Brandin Cooks via free agency, so they don't have any room to take another flier on Floyd like they did last year. Floyd didn't do much of anything for the Patriots last year and was mostly inactive as they made their run to a championship. Only Washington and the Vikings have shown interest in Floyd this offseason.

CIN - John Ross, Carl Lawson sign rookie deals
Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson
Cincinnati Bengals first-round WR John Ross and third-round DE Carl Lawson signed their four-year rookie contracts Sunday, May 7.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Ross reminds us of WR DeSean Jackson (Buccaneers) due to his speed and ability to basically teleport down the field. The speedster from Washington is currently recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, but he should be ready to go sometime around training camp. Ross gives the team much-needed speed opposite A.J. Green.

NYJ - ArDarius Stewart makes early impression
Source: NJ Advance Media - Connor Hughes
New York Jets rookie WR ArDarius Stewart had a good couple of days of practice and is the most pro-ready receiver of the wideouts who participated in rookie minicamp this week, according to NJ Advance Media's Connor Hughes.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Stewart has a ton of fight in his game. He competes for everything...through the release, the route and the catch point. Stewart can work short routes and excel with his run-after-the-catch ability. However, he can also go long and track passes over his shoulder. Stewart is one of our favorite rookie WRs from this class, and he's drawn comparisons to Chris Hogan (Patriots).

NYJ - Jordan Leggett a work in progress
Source: NJ Advance Media - Connor Hughes
New York Jets TE Jordan Leggett 'needs some work,' according to NJ Advance Media's Connor Hughes, who observed the rookie struggled with technique, route-running and drops in the two practices open to the media last week.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Leggett had a nickname in college of 'Lazy Leggett' and has admitted to being lazy in the past. His motor needs work if he's going to pay off at the pro level. Leggett has great size (6'5" 258 pounds) and has played big in the brightest moments. He's got great upside in the NFL, but Leggett does need more work than some think.

TB - Chris Godwin struggles with drops
Source: PewterReport.com - Trevor Sikkema
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Chris Godwin struggled with drops during drills at rookie minicamp Friday, May 5, and he admitted afterwards to being nervous.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Godwin is the type of player who can make dynamic catches above the rim. He's also known to drop too many easy passes. That looks like something that's followed him to the pros. As he gets less nervous with more experience, we expect Godwin to impress. He's a dynasty prospect we're monitoring closely.

DAL - TE Rico Gathers to have a role?
Source: The Dallas Morning News - Jon Machota
Dallas Cowboys TE Rico Gathers should make the 53-man roster, according to Jon Machota of The Dallas Morning News, and Machota believes Gathers can be used to create mismatches in the red zone.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Gathers was a basketball star in college at Baylor, but the Cowboys liked his upside enough they took him in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL draft. Jason Witten has to be winding down his pro career, so Gathers is an interesting developmental prospect to add or monitor in dynasty leagues.
