ARI - RB David Johnson has dislocated finger

Source: FOX Sports 910 Radio - Mike Jurecki

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson (finger) suffered a dislocated finger in Week 12 against the Atlanta Falcons, but he'll be 'fine' to play in Week 13 against the Washington Redskins, according to head coach Bruce Arians.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners need not be nervous about this finger injury. Johnson is going to play against Washington, and he's a no-brainer automatic starter and RB1 for fantasy.

OAK - QB Derek Carr sore, expects to go Week 13

Source: Bay Area News Group - Jimmy Durkin

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (finger) stated that he is experiencing expected soreness from his dislocated right pinkie finger, but he anticipates being ready to play in Week 13 against the Buffalo Bills.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carr slapped on a glove against the Panthers and led the Raiders to a win. He's good to go against the Bills.

IND - QB Andrew Luck likely to return in Week 13

    Source: Colts.com - Kevin Bowen

Updating a previous story, Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (concussion) reported he feels '100 percent' after practice Monday, Nov. 28. Head coach Chuck Pagano later told reporters he anticipates Luck returning in Week 13 to face the New York Jets.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Luck is back to practicing on Monday and has a full week to prepare for the team's Monday night contest against the Jets in Week 13. With Luck against that poor secondary, we'll have him projected as a QB1 for fantasy owners.

CIN - WR A.J. Green uncertain for Week 13

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Paul Dehner Jr.
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is unlikely to play in Week 13 against the Philadelphia Eagles, but head coach Marvin Lewis use the term 'partly cloudy' when referring to his receiver's likely status.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's nice to know that Lewis went "Brick Tamland" on us. Keep the tridents away from him. In all seriousness, the Bengals superstar WR is unlikely to play this week. His season may or may not be in jeopardy, but with the Bengals season mostly over there's really no need to rush Green back into action.

WAS - TE Jordan Reed not at practice Monday

Source: The Washington Post - Mike Jones

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (shoulder) was absent from practice Monday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Local beat writers report this injury is very painful for Reed. Check back to see if he can practice on Friday -- even in a limited fashion. If Reed can't go, then it bumps the fantasy value of Vernon Davis. If you have Reed on your team, make sure to have other options at the ready.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs back at practice

Source: USA TODAY Sports - Tom Pelissero

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) returned to practice Monday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs was inactive for the Thanksgiving matchup against the Lions. He did not practice on Sunday, but he's trending in the right direction now. On Thursday night against the Cowboys, if Diggs plays we'll have him as a WR2 for fantasy owners.

IND - WR T.Y. Hilton out of practice

Source: The Herald Bulletin - George Bremer

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) is out of practice Monday, Nov. 28.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's early in the week, so keep an eye on this situation as practice goes on. The Colts play against the Jets on Monday night in Week 13, so there's time for Hilton to heal. He attempted to play through this back injury to no avail on Thanksgiving.

CHI - ILB Danny Trevathan suffers serious knee injury

    Source: The Associated Press

Chicago Bears LB Danny Trevathan (knee) left the game in the closing minutes after suffering a severe right knee injury.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

More bad news for the Bears. Coach John Fox said Monday Trevathan suffered a torn patellar tendon and is out for the year.

NE - Three Patriots RBs split snaps evenly

    Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss
New England Patriots RB LeGarrette Blount received 27 snaps during the team's Week 12 game, while RB James White received 26 snaps and RB Dion Lewis received 23 snaps. The Patriots ran three plays with White and Lewis on the field at the same time.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fantasy owners are going to have a level of frustration when it comes to predicting the Pats backfield on a weekly basis. The Jets are tough to run against, so the Patriots got creative with their running backs. Against softer run defenses, it could be a better day for Blount. At this time, it seems like White and Lewis are going to continue splitting time as receiving or change-of-pace backs.

CLE - TE Gary Barnidge tweaked knee

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge (knee) tweaked his knee in Week 12 and was limited in his snaps, according to head coach Hue Jackson.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Good thing the Browns have a bye in Week 13. That should give Barnidge enough time to rest his knee and heal up.

SD - Tyrell Williams sore, but OK

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken
San Diego Chargers WR Tyrell Williams (shoulder) is feeling sore but is doing well after sustaining a shoulder injury in Week 12, according to head coach Mike McCoy.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Williams is on a roll, even though he's a little banged up. He's scored a touchdown in each of the last three games he's played and fantasy owners can rely on him as a flex play with upside. Watch his status during the week of practice, but this shoulder injury seems to be minor.

TEN - RB Derrick Henry could be used more

    Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt

Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry may be implemented more in short-yardage situations, according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

In the last two games (IND, CHI) we've seen starter DeMarco Murray play fewer snaps and have fewer rushing yards. To keep Murray fresh, the Titans would be wise to use more of their talented rookie. Henry could perform like a RB3/flex play with upside if he starts getting a larger role.

NYJ - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick earns another start

    Source: NewYorkJets.com

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will remain the starting quarterback in Week 13, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Congrats Jets fans....but fantasy fans should consider Fitzpatrick in two-QB leagues. The Jets play the Colts on Monday night in Week 13. The Colts have the 30th pass defense in the league allowing an average of 278.7 yards per game through the air.

NO - WR Brandin Cooks' blanking result of coverages

    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Triplett
New Orleans Saints WR Brandin Cooks did not see a single target in a Week 12 rout of the Los Angeles Rams - a fact head coach Sean Payton suggested was 'the result of some coverages'.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It was a surprise for fantasy owners to be sure. A guy can have a bad game, and that's part of the deal....but going without a target led to a lot of zeroes in fantasy leagues. We'll see if the Saints can find ways to get Cooks more involved going forward.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins plays nearly half

Source: WGR Sports Radio 550 - Sal Capaccio

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins played in 25 of 55 (45 percent) offensive plays in Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins was on a snap count, and he looked good on Sunday. Going forward, Watkins should be mixed in even more and that makes him a WR2 (with WR1 upside) consideration for fantasy owners as we approach the fantasy playoffs.

          Wednesday Update

SD - Tyrell Williams has labrum issue

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken

San Diego Chargers WR Tyrell Williams' (shoulder) right shoulder injury is related to a labrum issue. It's possible he might have to play with the injury for the duration of the season, though he did play through a torn right labrum during his senior year at Western Oregon in 2014. The full scope of his labrum damage is not yet known.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Chargers head coach Mike McCoy assured writers that everything was fine at his Monday press conference. "He's good. He's a little sore. He's a little sore when he came down on it." McCoy said. Watch Williams progress during the week of practice.

MIN - RB Adrian Peterson ahead of schedule

Source: Minneapolis Star Tribune - Andrew Krammer

Updating a previous story, Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) is 'ahead of schedule', according to head coach Mike Zimmer, who told reporters Tuesday, Nov. 29, was not the first day Peterson was able to run sprints off to the side of practice.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners need to take note here. It seems like Peterson is on track to return later this season. A Week 15 or Week 16 return is certainly possible, and that's right in the thick of the fantasy playoffs. Make sure to check to see if Peterson is on your waiver wire. If he's there (and you have the spot on your bench), then now is the time to scoop him up.

DAL - No reduction in RB Ezekiel Elliott's workload

Source: Fort Worth Star-Telegram - Drew Davison

Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott will not have his workload reduced, according to owner Jerry Jones.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Cowboys are built for a deep postseason run, and Elliott is the centerpiece of the offense. Fantasy owners can count on him as a RB1 each week.

GB - QB Aaron Rodgers suffered hamstring injury

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers (hamstring) said he suffered a hamstring injury in the second half Monday, Nov. 28, but he expects to play in Week 13.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Just keep an eye on this as the week of practice goes on. The Packers are at home versus the Texans in Week 13. The Texans have the 5th-best pass defense in the league and they only allow an average of 209.2 passing yards per game.

SF - QB Colin Kaepernick surging on the ground

          Source: CSNBayArea.com - Matt Maiocco
San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is averaging 62.2 yards per game on the ground. In total, Kaepernick has 373 rushing yards on 46 attempts, including one touchdown. 'He's out there, he's in control and when he sees an opportunity he's taken advantage of it,' offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins said.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fantasy owners aren't looking at the 49ers losing with Kaepernick at the helm, they're staring at the big numbers he's posting on a weekly basis. Pick him up off the waiver wire if you can. In addition to his rushing success, Kaepernick is averaging 277.5 yards per game through the air with eight touchdowns and just two interceptions.

NYG - QB Eli Manning apologized to WR Sterling Shepard

          Source: Newsday - Tom Rock

New York Giants QB Eli Manning said he apologized to WR Sterling Shepard for not getting him the ball in the team's Week 12 game Sunday, Nov. 27, against the Cleveland Browns.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The rookie played 51 snaps against the Browns on Sunday but didn't receive a single target. He did rush the ball one time for a gain of 22 yards. Going forward, Shepard should be much more involved and he has the capability of posting WR3/flex numbers for fantasy owners.

NO - WR Brandin Cooks ready for rebound?

          Source: ESPN.com - Mike Triplett
New Orleans Saints WR Brandin Cooks had been averaging 94 yards and one touchdown per game at home this season before last week's debacle.
          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fantasy owners were burned by Cooks last week as he didn't see a single pass thrown his way against the Rams. He played 45 snaps, but coverage dictated that QB Drew Brees needed to go elsewhere with the football. The Saints are at home again this week, this time a surging Lions team comes to town. We'll consider Cooks a low-end WR2/flex option in this matchup even though he should be matched up against CB Darius Slay.

PIT - RB DeAngelo Williams could return Week 13

Source: NFL Network - Aditi Kinkhabwala

Pittsburgh Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (knee) is 'perking up' and appears to be on track to return Week 13 against the New York Giants after undergoing minor knee surgery about three weeks ago, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Williams is out there, he's a valuable handcuff to grab off the waiver wire for Le'Veon Bell fantasy owners. If anything happened to Bell, Williams would post RB1 numbers during the fantasy playoffs which start Week 14 in most leagues.

PIT - TE Ladarius Green making solid progress

          Source: The Observer-Reporter - F. Dale Lolley

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green should expect increased reps moving forward and has the coaching staff 'excited' about potential contributions, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Go ahead and grab Green off the waiver wire if he's available. We're also excited about his potential...always have been, especially in this offense. As the fantasy playoffs near, Green is the type of player who could help you win and move on in the tournament.

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews remains day-to-day

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (knee) did not play as expected in Week 12 against the Green Bay Packers and remains day-to-day, according to head coach Doug Pederson.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fantasy owners shouldn't be relying on Mathews, even if he does return to the field anytime soon. The Eagles will continue to see if Wendell Smallwood can do more as a featured player. Darren Sproles will also mix in as their receiving/change-of-pace back.

PHI - WR Jordan Matthews expected to suit up Week 13

          Source: NJ.com - Eliot Shorr-Parks

Philadelphia Eagles WR Jordan Matthews (ankle) has been diagnosed with an ankle sprain after undergoing an MRI on Tuesday, Nov. 29, but he is expected to be fine to play in Week 13 versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It sounds like this ankle injury is minor. The Bengals are a middling pass defense, allowing an average of 246 passing yards per game.

ATL - WR Taylor Gabriel drawing rave reviews

          Source: ESPN.com - Vaughn McClure

Atlanta Falcons WR Taylor Gabriel has been 'great for us this year' and a 'sparkplug' for the offense, according to QB Matt Ryan.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Gabriel is maximizing his touches each week. Since Week 8, Gabriel is the number seven fantasy WR (on a points per game basis) in PPR leagues. He's done that on only 18 targets. Gabriel can work in as a runner on jet sweeps, and he's scored four touchdowns during this time to boost his fantasy numbers.

CLE - Robert Griffin cleared for contact

          Source: ESPN - Ed Werder

Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III (shoulder) has been cleared for contact Tuesday, Nov. 29. He will practice during the bye week with QB Cody Kessler (concussion) and QB Josh McCown, and the team will decide on a starter.

          [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Griffin should be added off the waiver wire if you've got a spot on your bench. If he gets the starting nod, Griffin could post QB1 numbers due to his rushing ability and the talent around him with pass-catchers like Terrelle Pryor and Corey Coleman.

                  Source: Vikings.com

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) fully participated in practice Wednesday, Nov. 30, but is listed as questionable for Week 13.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Diggs should be back for the Thursday night game against the Cowboys. He's a WR1 for fantasy players in PPR leagues.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back, chest) is not participating in practice Wednesday, Nov. 30.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It could be a day of rest...but it could be more. Gronkowski tried to play last week but exited the game early. The Patriots should be able to handle the Rams at home in Week 13, and they could do that without Gronkowski. Stay tuned.

Source: The Indianapolis Star - Stephen Holder

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (concussion) is likely to be cleared from the concussion protocol in the next couple of days based on where he was Monday, Nov. 28, in the protocol. He could be cleared Wednesday, Nov. 30.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

All things are on track for Luck to return this week for the Colts. The team needs to do a better job of protecting their leader. Luck is one of the best young quarterbacks in the league, and it's a shame the Colts haven't done more to protect him.

Maclin has missed a few weeks with this groin injury. It seems like he could return in Week 13 as the Chiefs travel to play a high-powered Falcons team.

Reece is a versatile player who can help as a runner, blocker or receiver. He has worked out for a few teams since getting cut by the Raiders in September. Rodgers didn't play last week against Seattle, but he's on track this week to play against the Chargers. He's a change-of-pace back behind Doug Martin, and a valuable handcuff as the fantasy playoffs draw closer.

Fuller's speed can take the top off the defense, and he's getting healthier as his practice status indicates. We've got him as a 'what the heck' flex against the Packers in Week 13.

Multiple injuries for Miller doesn't give fantasy owners a lot of confidence...especially against a tough Packers defense in Week 13. We've got Miller as a RB2 with RB1 upside in PPR leagues.

Parker has been coming on for fantasy owners (and the Dolphins) in recent weeks. He's known as a player to battle with injury, so fantasy players need to check on his status as the week goes on.

Thomas gets a chance to play against his former team (Broncos) on Sunday. The Broncos are historically weak against the tight end position, but there's no telling how healthy Thomas is. If he plays, we've got Thomas as a TE2 in Week 13.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian in walking boot

Source: The Denver Post - Nicki Jhabvala

Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (foot) is in a walking boot because of a foot sprain and is considered day-to-day at this point.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Siemian may not be able to play this week against the Jaguars. According to head coach Gary Kubiak, the second-year QB is going to spend a few days in the boot. However, Kubiak insisted that Siemian could play even without practicing during the week. Siemian is coming off his best day as a pro, but multiple shoulder injuries and now this foot injury have certainly called his durability into question.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Mathews is considered week-to-week with this knee injury. We don't expect him to play this week. That means Wendell Smallwood would be the lead back with Darren Sproles mixing in as a change-of-pace back.

You can pick on the Bengals secondary, and that should be the plan of action for the Eagles in Week 13. Having Matthews available would certainly help. He could be limited all week in practice, so make sure to check his status on Friday before just plugging him into your lineup.

WAS - WR Jamison Crowder on a roll

                  Source: USA TODAY Fantasy Sports

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder has 24 catches for 334 yards and three touchdowns over the last four games.

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Over the last four games Washington has played (they had a bye in Week 9), Crowder has performed like a borderline WR1 in PPR leagues. Going forward, this trend should continue for the second-year pro. There are many fantasy owners who could start Crowder as a WR3/flex option even though he's got that WR1 upside on a weekly basis.

ARI - WR John Brown to see specialists

                  Source: Arizona Sports 98.7 FM

Updating previous reports, Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown (hamstring) will see multiple specialists this week due to the sickle-cell trait continuously causing his legs to tighten. 'That's the one that's so baffling,' head coach Bruce Arians said. 'It's not really a pull. Whatever the blood issue he has the legs tighten up.'

                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners have likely moved on from Brown. Not only does his injury complicate things, but this Cardinals WR situation behind Larry Fitzgerald can be puzzling.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) suffered a herniated disc during the team's Week 12 game and will need to undergo surgery Friday, Dec. 2, according to a source. There is no timetable for his return.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like he could be done for the year, and he's certainly done for the fantasy season. Expectations are he will be gone for 8 weeks, which even makes playoff play uncertain. Expect a step up in production from Martellus Bennett, Julian Edelman and Dion Lewis. This is the third back surgery for Gronkowski in his career.

Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) is making expected progress in his recovery from his hamstring injury but will not be able to play in Week 13, according to sources. Green may have a chance to play in Week 14, in the opinion of ESPN's Bob Holtzman.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bengals have a decent matchup with Philadelphia, but without Green the passing offense is lackluster. Tyler Boyd is the best of the remaining bunch and only a WR5 for all that.

Houston Texans TE C.J. Fiedorowicz (shoulder) was limited in practice Thursday, Dec. 1.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fiedorowicz's game has been rather up and down the past few weeks and we aren't very excited about his prospects against Green Bay. Normally you can throw against the Packers but last week they clamped down, and if they can continue that trend the Texans are going to struggle. We expect the Texans to do just that which means Fiedorowicz is no more than a middle-of-the-road TE2 this week.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Miller is going up against a solid run defense, and has a quarterback who does him no favors because of inconsistency. We think he'll get enough carries but not find enough room to run which makes him no more than a borderline RB2/RB3.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We do wonder if the hamstring will limit his mobility, which could be an issue with some injuries on the offensive line. That said, Rodgers otherwise looks like he is back to his old self and against even a decent Houston defense we have him as a solid QB1 play this week.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Williams injury is a concern and we're hoping he can practice on Friday, otherwise we might throttle back our expectations. He's scored three weeks in a row, but his yardage totals are so-so, which means he is touchdown dependent. He's getting tons of targets, though, so we like his opportunity, and if he plays Williams should be a solid WR3.

With Cutler out, Matt Barkley is the man under center and while he was serviceable and faces a mediocre San Francisco defense, his upside is low and he's not worth more than a QB4. Even as an emergency option, he's not worth a start.

Siemian appears to be a bit injury prone, though he has proven to be a tough player. He's getting hammered behind the O-Line, and has been injured three times in part because of that. It’s going to require some watching. Between the injury and the offensive line, Siemian is a shaky start and no more than a borderline QB2/QB3.

Harvin isn't worth a look, migraines or no. He was out of the league for a year and it's no easy thing to get back into the swing of things. We don't expect him to have an impact any time soon.

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Dec. 1, and head coach Rex Ryan said he expects Watkins to play barring a setback. Offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn said Watkins received only three snaps during practice and is not 100 percent at this point. Lynn said he believes Watkins still has a broken bone in his foot but it is a pain tolerance situation.

                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We have Watkins as a low-end WR2, in part because of the lingering injury as well as the limitations of a very thin passing offense. We're cautiously optimistic, but can't trust a wounded Watkins in this offense.

Looks like Thomas won't be playing this weekend, which isn't the worst thing in the world since it's a terribly bad matchup. There's no tight end replacement worth rostering and Thomas is a touchdown-dependent boom or bust play anyway.

It won't be an easy task for the Miami Dolphins to make headway against the Baltimore Ravens with or without Parker. The offensive line is devastated by injury, and that hurts everyone. Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills will get the bulk of the work, but that won't be more than WR4 production.

OAK - QB Derek Carr ready to play

                              Source: NFL

Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr (finger, hand) fully participated in practice and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Carr should be played as you normally would against the Bills. He has been a high floor QB1 this year and is showing no signs of slowing down.

LA - WR Tavon Austin doubtful for Week 13

                              Source: Patriots.com

Los Angeles Rams WR Tavon Austin (chest) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 2, and is listed as doubtful for Week 13.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Kenny Britt becomes a more attractive WR3/Flex option with Austin likely out, freeing up more garbage time targets against the Patriots.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian likely out for Week 13

                              Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (foot) is unlikely to play Week 13 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Paxton Lynch is probably a downgrade for the Broncos offense, but not a significant one. The running backs could get more receptions as dumpoff targets, but the running game could also be hampered by Lynch's comfort in the shotgun.

CIN - WR A.J. Green has Grade 2 tear

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Jim Owczarski

Updating previous reports, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) said he suffered a Grade 2 hamstring tear, and he's working to get back this season. It may not be until Week 17.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Holding onto Green is a nice idea for hope, but if you are in a pinch, it's not crazy to drop him. He is unlikely to play next week and it sounds like Week 15 is a stretch. If Week 16 if his first game back, we won't recommend trusting Green in your championship lineup.

Detroit Lions WR Marvin Jones (thigh) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 2, and is listed as questionable for Week 13.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jones hasn't looked 100% for a while and is only a boom/bust WR3/Flex at best with the potential for an airshow in the Superdome this week.

Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) was limited during practice Friday, Dec. 2, and is not on the injury report for Week 13.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Yeldon will split the backfield with Denard Robinson against the Broncos in Week 13 with Chris Ivory out, but neither is more than a desperation play.

New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett (ankle, shoulder) is listed As Questionable for Week 13 versus the Los Angeles Rams.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bennett has a bust risk as he is not at full strength, but he is the clear primary receiving tight end with Rob Gronkowski out.

Indianapolis Colts WR T.Y. Hilton (back) returned to a full practice Friday, Dec. 2, putting him on track to play in Week 13 against the New York Jets.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Hilton is a strong start against a Jets secondary that is the weak point in their defense. He should benefit from the 11 day span between games heading into Monday night.

Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 13 versus the Houston Texans.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rodgers will be good to go on Sunday, and while he might run a little bit less, he should be successful enough as a passer against Houston to merit a top five ranking.

KC - WR Jeremy Maclin listed as questionable

                              Source: KCChiefs.com - B.J. Kissel

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) was limited all week in practice and is questionable for Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Maclin could return this week, but he's a risky play after a layoff of almost a month. Tyreek Hill is the most valuable wide receiver on the Chiefs in fantasy leagues.

SD - Tyrell Williams participates in practice Friday

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken

San Diego Chargers WR Tyrell Williams (shoulder) took part in practice for the first time Friday, Dec. 2, and is hopeful to play in Week 13 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

If Williams can go, he could still be worthy of a WR3/Flex start even with diminished ability in one of his shoulders, but he probably won't be able to keep up the near WR1 pace he has had outside of the Denver matchups over the last two months. Dontrelle Inman could become a strong play if Williams can't go on Sunday.

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (toe) participated in the open portion of practice Friday, Dec. 2, after not practicing earlier in the week.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Ingram is good to go against the Lions this weekend. He should be considered an upside RB2, with Tim Hightower being relegated to what the heck flex status.

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (concussion) is scheduled to visit an independent neurologist Friday, Dec. 2, in what should be his final hurdle in order to be cleared to play against the New York Jets in Week 13.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Luck is expected to play, but be sure to check back on the results before setting your lineup on Sunday morning, because Luck plays on Monday night. In a worst case scenario, Luck owners could spend a roster spot on Ryan Fitzpatrick or Scott Tolzien if Luck's status is not known Sunday morning.

New York Jets WR Brandon Marshall (knee, foot) missed his second consecutive practice Friday, Dec. 2.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Marshall is the type to play and play well without practicing, so unless we hear that he's a game-time decision, we'll leave him in our lineups for his Monday night tilt with the Colts.

Miami Dolphins WR DeVante Parker (back) did not participate in practice Friday, Dec. 2.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Parker is highly unlikely to play against the Ravens on Sunday. Kenny Stills becomes a high ceiling sleeper because the #1 ranked Ravens run defense encourages opponents to go pass heavy. Jarvis Landry should be a solid, safe PPR play this week.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed is almost certainly out for Sunday despite his big performance playing through the injury on Thanksgiving. Vernon Davis becomes a good waiver wire tight end with Reed out, and Jamison Crowder should continue to get a lot of targets in the slot.

Denard Robinson will certainly get a lot of work on Sunday against the Broncos, but TJ Yeldon will be a game-time decision. Either way, the Jaguars backfield has been no place to look for fantasy value this season.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This shouldn't discourage you from starting Brown, but it does make Ladarius Green more interesting as a possible #2 downfield target from the tight end position.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Wendell Smallwood is likely to be the lead back again in Week 13 with RB Ryan Mathews (knee) unlikely to play.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Smallwood didn't come through after the Eagles fell behind the Packers in Week 12, but the Week 13 matchup against Cincinnati is more manageable, which makes him a flex option, if not a desperation RB2.

Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald may be shadowed in the slot by Washington Redskins CB Josh Norman in Week 13.

                              [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This would make sense from the perspective of taking away the Cardinals best receiver, although Norman probably won't be on Fitzgerald for the entire game. Michael Floyd and John Brown are bit gimpy and JJ Nelson disappointed in his last big opportunity, so this could spell another solid week for Jermaine Gresham.

KC - WR Jeremy Maclin downgraded to out

                                    Source: Chiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) was downgraded from questionable to out Saturday, Dec. 3.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looked like Maclin could return this week, but that's not the case. Without Maclin, the team should continue to throw to Tyreek Hill as much as possible. They'll need explosive playmakers to make plays in what could be catch-up football against a high-powered Falcons offense on Sunday.

NE - TE Rob Gronkowski place on IR

                                    Source: ESPN.com - Field Yates

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back) was placed on the Reserve/Injured Reserve list Saturday, Dec. 3, according to source. The team also re-signed free-agent RB D.J. Foster. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Gronkowski's season is officially over with this move. He's now undergone three back surgeries, but the veteran tight end is expected to make a full recovery. The team should ease him into OTAs in 2017.

IND - QB Andrew Luck update

                                    Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport

Updating a previous report, Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (concussion) was a full participant in practice Saturday, Dec. 3, and he has been removed from the injury report.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Luck is good to go, and the Colts offense gets a huge boost with this return. The passing game should have a banner day against a poor Jets secondary. Luck is a QB1 for fantasy owners this week.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins playing with broken foot

Source: The Buffalo News - Nick Veronica

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) is playing with a broken foot, offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn said Thursday, Dec. 1, and Lynn wouldn't commit to how many snaps Watkins would play in Week 13.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Watkins looked pretty good last week in limited duty for the Bills. He may still be on a snap count in Week 13 against the Raiders, but we've got Watkins as a WR3/flex option for fantasy owners.

BUF - TE Charles Clay to miss Week 13

                                    Source: NFL.com - Ian Rapoport

Buffalo Bills TE Charles Clay (knee) is listed as questionable but will not travel to face the Oakland Raiders in Week 13. Clay has chosen to stay behind to attend the birth of his child.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills have been trying (a bit) to get Clay more involved in the offense. He just hasn't been producing at a fantasy-relevant level.

GB - More touches for RB Christine Michael?

                                    Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
Green Bay Packers RB Christine Michael 'definitely' needs more touches, according to head coach Mike McCarthy, and McCarthy said there needs to be a better 'flow' in the backfield rotation.
                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Packers aren't running the ball well at all. Using Michael to complement starter James Starks sounds good on paper, but we're skeptical that it will help much. Michael should be on the waiver wire in most leagues.

Carolina Panthers QB Derek Anderson made the start in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks with starting QB Cam Newton held out on the first drive due to disciplinary issues.

Anderson went out there and threw an interception to start the game. Newton was then inserted back into the lineup.

Los Angeles Rams WR Kenny Britt posted two receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown in the Week 13 game against the New England Patriots. He was targeted six times.

Britt's catches came in garbage time. He bailed out his owners at the last second. He'll be a better start against the Falcons next week.

Los Angeles Rams RB Todd Gurley rushed 11 times for just 38 yards in the Week 13 game against the New England Patriots and he posted two grabs for only nine yards on three targets.

Gurley has another tough matchup against Atlanta next week. He should be on your bench unless you have no viable alternative.

NE - TE Martellus Bennett almost invisible

New England Patriots TE Martellus Bennett managed just two catches for four yards on four targets in the Week 13 game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Bennett clearly is not 100%. He was targeted in the end zone but a good defensive play broke up the pass. Let's hope he shows he is healthy soon.

New England Patriots rookie WR Malcolm Mitchell posted eight grabs for 82 yards in the Week 13 game against the Los Angeles Rams. He was targeted 10 times.

Mitchell has become a full-time player with Rob Gronkowski out. He's worth a WR3/Flex start against Baltimore next week.

ATL - RB Tevin Coleman has some success

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman rushed for 49 yards on 12 carries against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 13.

Coleman looked better than last week, but he wasn't involved as a receiver and didn't get the frequent goal line opportunities that have helped his weekly outlook. He'll be a what the heck flex against the Rams next week.

DET - WR Golden Tate has explosive game

                                            Source: The Associated Press

Detroit Lions WR Golden Tate finished with eight catches and 145 yards, including a 66-yard touchdown scamper, in a 28-13 win over the New Orleans Saints.

Tate's long touchdown came on a busted coverage, but he was productive all afternoon. The loss of Marvin Jones helped Tate's target share, and he should be at worst a good WR2/WR3 play against Chicago at home next week.

KC - TE Travis Kelce surpasses 100-yard mark

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught eight passes for 140 yards against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 13.

Kelce got open downfield with ease and Alex Smith was on point when targeting him. Kelce had his third straight 100-yard day heading into a good matchup with Oakland, while Lance Kendricks and the Rams try to take advantage of the Falcons' problems covering tight ends.

CHI - WR Josh Bellamy posts 93 yards receiving

Chicago Bears WR Josh Bellamy caught four passes for 93 yards against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. He also rushed for 12 yards on one carry during the game.

Bellamy actually had two ugly drops, including one that would have been a long touchdown, or his game would have surpassed the Week 12 of Marquess Wilson, who was barely used. The Bears passing game has come alive with Matt Barkley but no wideout is trustworthy.

SF - QB Colin Kaepernick benched in loss

                                            Source: CSNBayArea.com - Matt Maiocco

San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick was benched in the fourth quarter of the team's Week 13 after he completed only one of his five passes for four yards during the game. He also sacked five times during the game and lost 25 yards. Kaepernick was replaced by QB Blaine Gabbert during the game.

Kaepernick was a fantasy QB1 going into this one. The conditions certainly played a role and Chip Kelly said the move isn't permanent, but now it will be very tough to trust Kaepernick if he starts against the Jets next week.

PHI - WR Dorial Green-Beckham leaves game

                                            Source: NFL.com

Philadelphia Eagles WR Dorial Green-Beckham (rib) is questionable to return after a rib injury suffered Sunday, Dec. 4, against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Green-Beckham had a big opportunity with Jordan Matthews out, but he and Carson Wentz failed to bring their "A" game against the Bengals on the road today.

49ers will cut Kaepernick. Then his career will be over. He was good for a short time
