Source: ESPN.com - Coley Harvey
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (toe) will not play in Week 6 against the Carolina Panthers, according to sources. Green had his right foot in a walking boot Friday, Oct. 10, during the team's walkthrough. Head coach Marvin Lewis said Green's injury was 'a little more than' turf toe Thursday, Oct. 9. Green initially injured his toe in Week 1.

Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) skipped his third straight practice of the week Friday, Oct. 10, for the first time this year. Head coach Jim Caldwell said a decision on Johnson's status for Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings has not been determined, however. 'And also, you never know. There's a possibility. A couple weeks ago, I really didn't think he'd be available but the fact of the matter is he came out after doctors looked at him and said, hey, you know what, he can go,' Caldwell said. WRs Corey Fuller, Jeremy Ross and Ryan Broyles and TE Eric Ebron would be tasked with replacing Johnson as a committee if he doesn't play.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush (ankle) said he will test his ankle sprain this weekend, but he will not push to play in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings if he's not ready. Bush learned from WR Calvin Johnson's (ankle) situation when he aggravated the injury last week trying to play on it. DAL - Dallas plans to attack CB Richard Sherman

Dallas Cowboys owners Jerry Jones said the team doesn't plan to avoid Seattle Seahawks CB Richard Sherman in Week 6. 'With all of the respect we have for him, we're going to have to give him some business over there or we will hurt the balance of what we can do relative to certainly the passing game,' Jones said. 'We can't run from him. That's easy to say and hard to do. We got to challenge him and make him at least cover us one-on-one and Dez of course is the guy who can do it. So I don't see us compromising the rest of our offense by running from Sherman like that.' Sherman is expected to cover WR Dez Bryant, with Bryant mostly lining up on the left side of the field. Chicago Bears C Taylor Boggs (hamstring), OT Jermon Bushrod (ankle, knee), LB Lance Briggs (ribs), LB Shea McClellin (hand) and SS Ahmad Dixon (hamstring) did not participate in practice Friday, Oct. 10, and have been ruled out for Week 6. LB Jonathan Bostic (back) and CB Sherrick McManis (quadriceps) did not participate in practice and are listed as questionable. C Roberto Garza (ankle), DT Jeremiah Ratliff (concussion), LB D.J. Williams (neck) and FS Chris Conte (concussion) fully participated in practice and are listed as probable.

The Bears linebacker corps is very thin, which could mean good things for Steven Jackson and Antone Smith in the Falcons backfield this week.

MIN - WR Cordarrelle Patterson probable
Source: DetroitLions.com
Minnesota Vikings WR Cordarrelle Patterson (hip) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 10, and is probable for the team's Week 6 game.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Patterson isn't going to be affected by his hip injury, but his ability to get open and the Vikings stressing other players in the passing game still appears to be a major drag on his value. He could blossom at any time, but you shouldn't be waiting for that with Patterson in your lineup.

NYJ - Coach not happy with WR Eric Decker's progress
Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Rich Cimini
Updating a previous report, New York Jets WR Eric Decker (hamstring) was limited in practice Friday, Oct. 10, and is questionable for Week 6 against the Denver Broncos. Head coach Rex Ryan said he had been hoping to see Decker do more in practice Friday.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Don't risk Decker in your lineup unless you have no other viable option. There is no real fallback option to look at in the Jets passing offense with Jeremy Kerley ice cold, although Jace Amaro could become an interesting deep TE option if he can start to catch on.

JAX - Storm Johnson probable
Source: Jaguars.com
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Storm Johnson (ankle) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 10, and is listed as probable for Week 6.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Johnson is a boom/bust RB2/Flex play against a Tennessee Titans defense that hasn't figured out how to defend the run effectively this year.

SD - RB Ryan Mathews ruled out
Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken
San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews (knee) has been ruled out for Week 6.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Mathews is still at least another week away from returning. Earlier this week it was reported that he hadn't started to run on his injured knee yet. Branden Oliver's opportunity is huge right now. He could inherit more than the Danny Woodhead role if he keeps playing well.

Tennessee Titans TE Delanie Walker (shoulder) fully participated in practice Friday, Oct. 10, and is probable for Week 6.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Walker has been the one constant bright spot in the Titans offense. He should have a nice day against the Jaguars this week.

CAR - RB Jonathan Stewart questionable

Carolina Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart (knee) was limited in practice Friday, Oct. 10, and is questionable for the team's Week 6 game.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Stewart will be a game-time decision. Even if he plays, his upside is limited against the Bengals in a committee running game that is stuck in neutral.

TEN - QB Jake Locker not expected to play
Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt
Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (thumb) is not expected to play in Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he's officially listed as questionable on the injury report. He made some soft tosses Friday, but was listed as a non-participant in practice. QB Charlie Whitehurst is expected to make his second start of the year.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Whitehurst is actually worth a start in two QB leagues if you are thin at the position. The Jaguars have been a sieve of a defense and Whitehurst was riffing well with his receivers against the Browns last week.

ATL - WR Devin Hester questionable for Week 6
Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra
Atlanta Falcons WR Devin Hester (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Week 6 against the Chicago Bears.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Hester is only a fringe player in very deep leagues that don't have return yards, but he could have something extra in the tank against his old team this week.

TB - WR Mike Evans on track to play
Source: The Tampa Tribune - Roy Cummings
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans (groin) looks like he's good to go for Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Evans is just a what the heck flex in his return, and it takes a little edge off of Vincent Jackson's upside. Evans should be picked back up in deeper leagues where he was dropped on news of his injury and a possible multiweek absence.

DAL - Dallas plans to attack CB Richard Sherman
Source: ESPNDallas.com - Calvin Watkins
Sherman has allowed just one touchdown pass this year and was targeted just three times in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
If there's someone who can beat Sherman consistently in one-on-one situations with the ball in flight, Bryant is a good candidate. This should be fun to watch, clear your afternoon on Sunday.

OAK - Raiders committed to QB Derek Carr
Source: CSNBayArea.com - Scott Bair
Oakland Raiders QB Derek Carr has received a vote of confidence from new head coach Tony Sparano. “I visited with him and we got a chance to talk about that,” Sparano said. “I said to him, ‘This is your football team; you’re the quarterback. We don’t have time for you to be a rookie right now, this team needs you to step up and be that leader. Don’t sit around and wait to do that.’' Carr has showed good poise through four weeks of ups and downs in his rookie season.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Carr deserves that backing, as he has made the most of a very poor situation. He still doesn't have any redraft fantasy value, but deep dynasty leagues and the Raiders have to be pleased with what they have sen so far from Carr.

Ridley and Shane Vereen are looking like weekly upside flex plays with the Patriots offense trending up, after a slow start possibly got them dropped in some leagues.
