A guy decides to get high and get behind a car AND race on a race track with other drivers? Then he gets out of the car, tries to chase down another driver on foot, gets killed by a car tire? And I'm the idiot?

This guy put the lives of other drivers in peril with his horrible decision. Are you really going to try and defend a guy legally high on drugs?

He wasn't "cleared" and nothing was "ruled". All a grand jury does is decide whether or not they find probable cause to issue an indictment. A prosecutor can still charge even without a grand jury indictment, though it seems very unlikely here.

Surely if there was evidence that Stewart had gunned his engine and slid into Ward, as so many insist is a fact, then they would have recommended some sort of charge. Like wreckless endangerment or whatever they call it.

I agree. Ward being under the influence of marijuana doesn't help either. The other drivers were able to avoid Ward.
