Thats good for Atlanta because Rainey was going to drop about a 160 yards, 2x on the worst defense in the NFL...through 2 games. Only team with out a QB sack.

It appears Roddy White will play as well.

Think there is any value in Harry Douglas? I know it appears Roddy may play, but after last year I question if he can stay healthy. Douglas was serviceable in White's absence.

PPR league than Douglas can have some value if White is not hawking a lot of the targets. With Julio and White both in lineup would really be stretching it looking for any consistency from Harry

Apparently Roddy hasn't practiced at all this week. I got burned with him being "questionable" while not practicing last year. Owner beware...

Looks like Rainey has been so impressive that the Bucs are going with a committee.

Coach Lovie Smith said the Bucs are planning on using a committee at running back for Thursday night's game at Atlanta.

Doug Martin (knee) is expected to suit up, but Smith has declined to name a starter. Bobby Rainey piled up 174 total yards on 25 touches in the Week 2 loss to the Rams. "We want to play more than one running back, two, maybe three," Smith said. ESPN Bucs reporter Pat Yasinkas says that isn't coachspeak, insisting that Smith really is serious about a committee. We'd lean toward starting Martin as he got the first-team reps in practice, but Rainey is going to have a real role as well.

Interesting stat I heard the other day, Doug Martin has played in something like 22/23 games and that 25% of his career production came in two games. So outside those two games he's been pretty much a less than average player. I'd be cautious in using him until I saw some productivity out of him.

According NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Doug Martin (knee) is unlikely to play in Thursday night's game against the Falcons.

Martin will test out his knee pregame before the Bucs make his status official. But it's now crystal clear that Bobby Rainey is a borderline RB1 play against a Falcons defense that has already given up 284 yards and five touchdowns to opponent tailbacks. Reports already had the hot Rainey, growing into a coaching staff favorite, in line to start the game. He also started against the Falcons in Week 11 of last year, going for 167 total yards on 32 touches and scoring three touchdowns.
