Bengals to Run a Lot More, Pass a Lot Less This Year
They are reportedly scrapping former OC Jay Gruden's high-volume quick passing game as new OC Hue Jackson prefers a power running game. The problem with that may be that their best offensive weapon is A.J. Green and it is uncertain if Giovanni Bernard could shoulder that kind of running load. Nonetheless, this could be a good UNDER team early on.

Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson believes new OC Hue Jackson intends to "take the load off" Andy Dalton, and reduce his pass attempts from last year's 586 to "closer to Russell Wilson's number of 407."

Hobson believes the Bengals may scrap Jay Gruden's old high-volume short to intermediate passing game, and allow the "running game to open up the deep ball." This, of course, is Jackson's offense. He's a power-run coach with vertical-pass leanings. Turning Dalton into a low-volume game manager would significantly curb Dalton's fantasy appeal. It would also almost certainly curb the Bengals' team turnover rate. Gio Bernard and Jeremy Hill stand to benefit.

There's no way they trade AJ green lol...basically they found out what I knew all along dalton is not an NFL starting QB that will take you to a championship so better get to running.

Yeah, Dalton is not going to lead Cincy to the SB. Need an upgrade at QB.

Yeah unless you are lucky enough to have one of the top tier QB's which is maybe a handful of guys balance is needed to some degree even in this pass happy era. Little orphan Andy is not a top flight guy despite having alot of weapons a better running attack should open things up more. They play in the black/blue division and have a great defense time to start getting some of the load off Daltons shoulders.

I heard Andy Dalton bleached his hair and looks like Eminem now. Can anyone confirm this?

During the draft they kept talking about where Manzel and the other QBs would end up like they always do and I kept wondering why nobody mentioned the Bengals? Why? They'll never win anything w/Dalton and Marvin Lewis sucks as well.

3 straight years in the Playoffs starting rookie year. AJ is sitting behind him patiently waiting and no not Green.
