As it's the same chassis underneath I think teams are having less trouble with it than I expected pre-season.

But we have only had 1 normal race so far, on a track where it has always been tough to pass anyway, so hard to be sure. But Roush have out performed their 2012 form. JGR have looked white hot at times. Hendrick 'seem' to know what they are doing with the methodical way they have been going about things.

Can't really call it.

The possibility exists, that tire wear is going to be an issue. A lot of cars hit the wall last week over flat tires. Some drivers are complaining that this new tire is too hard and doesn't have enough grip for passing.

Seems like there were quite a few drivers spinning tires on the restarts too.

no one. it's leveled the field and made it more competitive.
good for brand recognition though as that was a major crux of the switch.

You guys read about Danica getting hit in the head with a rock at a dirk track in Vegas? Dirt track car must have kicked one up and it caught her on the side of her noggin. Fans my have to start wear'in helmets if this keeps up!

I don't think it does NASCAR good in the long run to insist drivers only say positive stuff. Lots of people root for the characters not the cars.

Teams should be able to freely voice opinions.
