    1st half plays
    Buffalo +1/2 (-125) (1st half)
    Marshall +4 (1st half)
-The spread at the greek is marshall+4 and at betus is +4.5 for the first half. I
have noticed that whenever the spread is lower for the underdog at the greek, the underdog has covered approximately 90% of the time in the first half.
Whenver the spread is higher for the favorite at the greek than it is at betus, the favorite has covered the spread approximately 90% ofthe time. Last week, Boise st was a 4.5 favorite at the greek and a 4 point favorite at betus. Boise St covered the spread at the half by leading 20-9 in the first half. I like to see how this pans out tommorrow and this weekend.
    marshall/houston under 31 (1st half)
-This over/under is very high. The weather conditions for CHarleson, SC, are lows in the low 40's, winds WNW at 10 to 20 MPH. Based on a windy chilly night, I like the under especially in the first half. I think both teams will try to establish the run especially Marshall who will try to slow down the game. If Marshall is able to establish the running game, they will play keep away from the cougar offense. The cougars have had issues trying to stop the running game. The Cougars allowed Air Force to rush for 380 yards on 78 carries and AF did not even attempt a single pass. THe cougars are not just one dimensional and now have a running game led by RB Beal. Marshall played houston for the very 1st time in 2007 and lost 35-28. Marshall trailed in that game at halftime 10-7. Marshall had success running the football (136 yards) as well as Houston did (174 yards). If the weather conditions are going to be a cold chilly night with 10-15 mph winds, I expect both teams to run the football.

lines are often slightly different at betus
    sometimes slow moving
it looks like they try to anticipate who the action will be on and set the line off a bit to possibly burn their players

        2-0 this week

South Florida/Cincinatti under 26 (1st half) at the greek. The spread at betus is 24.5 who set the total lower based on their perception that the first half is going to stay under.

USF has 3 injuries to starters on offense. Most noticeable is starting RT senior Pile. He is considered to be their best offensive lineman. After he went down with an injury in last weeks game at louisville, the cardinals sacked Grothe 5 times. From what I hear, Cinncy is going to put pressure on Grothe by blitzing. THe other 2 starters are RB Ford and TE Pupello. USF is dinged up and so is Cincy in this game. Cincy has it own problems at QB. If Pike unable to start at QB, which probably be the case, than Chazz Anderson will start at QB. With Anderson at QB, cincy will run the football more than with Pike at QB. In their last 2 games, CIncy is 0/25 on 3rd down conversions. Pike had numbness in has throwing hand and could not grip the football in the game at Uconn. As a result, Pike had to come out after the first half. CIncy went with Anderson at QB in the 2nd half of that game. The cold weather is not going to be helpful for Pike. Cincy does not have a high powered offense like they did in 2007 when Ben Maulk was their QB. Cincy defeated USF 38-33. I seriously doubt we have a game like that tommorrow night. The weather is going to be in the low 30's with a chance of frostbrite.

3-0 this week with 1st half games this week. Here are some early leans for this saturday. All of them are from the greek.

                  Air Force -5.5 1st half
-AF has outcored Army 73-17 in their last 2 meetings with Army. I like AF because they will score 1st in this game. Army offense is very dismal. Army struggled to score 2 touchdowns against a very weak Lousiana Tech team. AF running attack presents problems for the army. Army will not be able to stop Air Forces rushing attack.

Other first half leans (at the greek)
                  West Virginia -2.5
-Mountaineers manhandled the huskies 66-17 in 2007. West Virginia rushed for 600 yards in that rout. Uconn coach is so concerned about this game that he will not disclose who his starting qb is going to be. Mountaineers started really slow against Auburn on a thursday night game last week. I expect the mountaineers to come out strong in this conference game. The more Pat White plays, the better this west virginia team becomes. This looks like a complete mismatch on paper.
                  Minnesota -4.5
-Northwestern has a few key injuries on offense which includes QB Bachar and RB Sutton. This is a revenge game for Minnesota. NOrthwestern defeated Minnesota 49-48 in 2007. Minnesota lead that game 21-14 at the half and 35-14 in the 3rd quarter. With those injuries, Northestern is going to struggle on saturday while Minnesota is going for their 8th win in 9 games. This is a homecoming game and minnesota will be juiced up to play.
                  Missouri -12.5
-The tigers are not going to slip again after losing 2 conference games to Oklahoma and Texas. The tigers may beat baylor worst than they did the buffalos last week. The tigers play the game at such a pace that Baylor would not be able to keep up.
                  Oregon +1
                  Idaho +9.5
                  New mexico st +12.5
                  Southern Miss -5.5
                  Utah -4.5
                  North Texas +9.5
I do not understand how oddsmakers came out with Western kentucky being a 16.5 favorite in this game. Western Kentucky has won one more game than winless North Texas. North Texas defeated Western Kentucky 27-26 in 2007. North Texas has lost 9 straight. Both of these teams are sorry and I think North Texas is going to be more motivated to win. Wetern Kentucky has won a game while North Texas is looking for the first victory of the season.
                  UL Lafayette -4.5
