Some of theses teams should knock themselves out, Ohio St could screw things up for Penn St next week. Alabama loses next week probably at Tenny.

USC does not belong 5, they want them in BCS game real bad too

I don't see Penn St. losing to Ohio St. USC should be behind both Oklahoma St. and Texas Tech. I can see how Oklahoma is deserving since they lost to the number one team in the nation. A loss to Oregon St. by any other team would almost assure them that they wouldn't see the top 5 again...

The team that seems out of place on that list is

        BALL STATE.
How in the world can they be rated/ranked that high?

Penn St should have took the #2 spot after Bamas close call with Ole miss..

I'm still in shock that Oklahoma State is doing this well this year.

Very surprising, but Texas ends their undefeated season in a close game...

TT played 2 1-AA teams, that's why they're so low. Oregon State isn't bad, but they've lost @ #11 Utah, and @ #3 PSU. Oregon St. has played as many ranked OOC teams as the entire Big 12. If they had TT's OOC schedule, they would be 6-1 and ranked in the top 15 right now.

If Texas loses 1 game in the regular season and the Big 12 Championship game, then I don't see why Oklahoma couldn't be in the Nat'l Championship game if they win out the rest of the season.

As crazy as it may sound... if Oregon State wins out, they qualify for the Rose Bowl, ahead of USC.... while USC plays Texas in the BCS Championship.

There's still a lot that will happen with the current Top 7 since Tortilla Tech still has OU on the road and both Texas and Okie State at home. Plus in addition to Tortilla Tech on the road, Ok State has Texas in Austin and OU in Norman.

I don't either, although they would have a tough time explaining to Georgia fans why a team who didn't win their conference can play for the BCS title...

everyone always wants to start saying, "what if this, what if that", i realize that it keeps the casual fan interested, but if you turn on your tv every saturday, there's an incredible in-season playoff going on to determine the top 2 teams and its absolutely incredible to watch

penn state at ohio state this sat

florida and georgia the following sat

                                    and so forth

USC will probably sneak in the backdoor. That's a shame since they play that weak ass schedule.

hmmmm, pretty bold statement considering georgia plays at lsu, v. florida, and v. georgia tech, all still on the schedule

I laughed pretty hard when someone said USC has the easiest schedule remaining. They should have just said, They have the easiest schedule overall. I don't know how Georgia can stay with 1 loss. TN, Florida, LSU, and GT. No way they go 4-0. No team could go 4-0 against those 4 late in the season. Tough call, but, Texas should come down to the Big 12 championship game. This is awful bc. of the OTHER confrences who will have a bye instead of a real championship confrence game. Just going to see if there is another black saturday where top 5 teams get raped.

i just laughed pretty hard that you put TN on georgia's remaining schedule. georgia beat them 2 saturdays ago.

                                              anyhow, usc has beaten:

virginia at virginia, in a thrashing, and right now virginia is one of the hottest teams in the acc

ohio state, in a mauling at the coliseum

oregon, in another mauling at the coliseum

still has to play some prett good teams like:

arizona on the road at night, the wildcats are good

cal, who is like 5-2 and always good under tedford

notre dame who is turning out pretty good

and then they'll crush a top opponent in the bowl (again) and the haters will say ???

oregon, in another mauling at the coliseum

still has to play some prett good teams like:

arizona on the road at night, the wildcats are good

cal, who is like 5-2 and always good under tedford

notre dame who is turning out pretty good

and then they'll crush a top opponent in the bowl (again) and the haters will say ???

at that comment. ACC is horrible

USC beating Virginia holds no merrit. Ohio state maybe.
USC has a cupcake schedule left to play. they will probally be in the BCS title picture again this year due to all the same reasons they always are.

for whomever thinks UGA will win out. That is a bold statement and even being a fan I dont see it happening, not the way they have been playing. but GA historically gets better as the season progresses. If they beat LSU ( with a big IF) this weekend than I think the momentum will carry them through the Fla game. With so many injuries that they have suffered I dont see GA winning out. They may have a chance at the SEC title but we;ll see.

Can anyone tell me a school that has a tuffer schedule than UGA this year?

my prediction for the title game:
                                                Texas/Penn state

ACtually the bedlam game will be played at OK St this year, not in Norman.

Everyone has been talking about Utah, Boise State and BYU as being BCS busters. But what about Ball State?

Do you think Ball State acutally gets to a BCS game if they go undefeated and the right teams lose ahead of them?

I think they do. They have decent computer numbers, and would move up in the polls for sure.
