    nOOb question about bets
I see there are a lot of places to wager but im just trying to figure the ins and outs of how it goes down. im used to picking so many teams for parlays or teasers with so much money and they all have to win for me to win. is that how all of these other are?

What do the units represent that i see people talking about?

What are pros and cons of the wagering sites that you have noticed?

sorry for all the ? but im just looking for another site than where im at.

    Thanks guys!!

Describing wagers in Units allows those of us who wager $10 per bet to talk with those of us who wager $1000 per bet in common terms. So, if you're a $10 per unit bettor and you wager 2 units on a game, you've wagered $20. If you're using good money managment techniques, 1 unit should be roughly 2% of your bankroll.

If you live in the US, you can't go wrong with Bookmaker or BetJamaica. Spend a little time in the SBR Reviews. Stick with A+/A books. You won't be sorry you did...

you can make straight bets on 1 game at a time
or parlay any number of games together
a straight bet in football is generally risking 11.00 to win 10.00

you can also "buy points" generally at 5.00 extra per half-point
      EXAMPLE:

team A is minus 6-1/12 points to team B
      you like team B
you could wager 55 to win 50 on team B at +6-1/2
      OR

you could wager 60 to win 50 on team B at +7
