Sat. 9-27 my weeklong capping thread
I've been capping all the games so far, I'll post them as I find the best lines.

    I'll start with these:

    Mich. St. -8.5
    Duke -7
    Ohio St. -17
    Ball St. -18
    Temple +3.5
    Memphis PK

Note: I am not placing wagers on these games yet...These are just games I am finding good value in. After I cap all the games I will post the games I am actually wagering on. This is my first time actually capping every game like this. Usually I just glance over games on a friday and place some wagers. I'll see how this works. Any thoughts or opinions will be greatly appreciated.

I wouldnt do the Memphis pick if i was you. I go to Memphis, know a few players, everyone is not in a good mood. People calling for West to be fired, questionable play calling, struggling over Nicholls State. Home field advantage is nothing in this game. A 62000 seat stadium is useless when 20000 people are there and at least 5000 of them are from the road team. Nicholls State fans were buying tickets on ebay for the game because no on e in Memphis wanted them. I think i got across how bad football is here right now. Arkansas state also is playing with confidence having gone on the road and beaten Texas A&M, put 83 on the board against Texas Southern and just won their conference opener by two touchdowns against an MTSU team that beat Maryland as a 13 point dog. Obviously I like Arkansas State here, going to have a look at the over too.

thanks for the input jtuck. I really think memphis will win, but after i look over the whole slate of games I will deffinately find better games I'm sure.

If that Pittsburgh line keeps dropping like it has been I'll be on that game. Why all the love for Syracue? They are just flat out horrible

I can also add Alabama +6. I have not capped the game yet but Alabama is arguably the best team in the country in my mind and I said after week one that they would be in the National Championship game. Georgia is good, but not as good as their ranking makes people think and they will be exposed after this weekend. Alabama wins this one outright. Im just upset because I've been riding the under the radar tide all year and after this week we are not going to see many more good lines for them...

Love temple + 3.5. Don't know why they are dogs. Also like Navy +16 and Purdue +2.5.

            Any thoughts?

Jtuck, glad to see another memphian on here. I just graduated from Memphis and was looking at this line in amazement. I know This game is usually a tight one but I have liked Ark. St. so far this year. The over should hit, unless its in the 60s, but I am also looking at some other games.

Ok here is the list of the final games I will be looking at for Saturday...I see good value in all of them. I'll give my input on each game. Any thoughts or opinions are greatly appreciated.

Pittsburgh -15 @ Syracuse: Pittsburgh has a fair defense and an average offense, what does that mean against Syracuse? It means Great defense and Great offense. Of Syracuse's three losses the smallest margin of defeat was 14 and that was against a bad Akron team. Sycracuse struggled at home this past Saturday against a bad Northeastern team. what does that mean to me? It means Pittsburgh will cover.

Michigan St. -8.5 @ Indiana: Michigan St. is starting to look like they may be somewhat for real this year. Their offense has shown some explosive ability and their defense has been solid with the game at Cal as an exception. Indiana was embarrassed at home this past weekend by a tough Ball St. team. Ball St. played the entire second half without their main playmaker and still dominated. Michigan St. should succeed to holding Indiana's offense to a reasonable number of points and will most likely run all over them which will open up the pass.

Duke -7 vs. Virginia: To me this line is way way way to low. I capped this game at Duke -14.5. Virginia is obviously in the beginning of a transition. Their defense has taken a large step backwards....and even if they had a defense it wouldnt matter because they cant score at all! They are averaging 11 points per game and giving up over 32.3. And that is factoring 0 points allowed in one of their 3 games when they beat Richmon 16-0... A team that only puts up 16 at home against Richmond 10 and UCONN and 7 against USC at home is only a 7 point road dog? Ill take that. Duke is better than people will think just because it's Duke. They beat Navy by 10 at home, and Navy is deffinately supperior to Virginia.

Miami -7.5 vs. North Carolina: Miami has a very solid offense and their loss to Florida was closer than the score indicates. North Carolina beat two horrible teams and lost to a mediocre team in Va. Tech. Now they are without their starting quarterback...Ill take Miami thank you very much

Ohio St. -17.5 vs. Minnesota: This line is so small for two reasons. Minnesota is undefeated (even though they havnt played anyone near this good). And two after Ohio St.'s choke at USC and their struggles against Troy (a pretty darn good team) people are overreacting. Ohio St. has found their quarterback and Minnesota has a bad defense. Ohio st will win this game by at least three touchdowns and the world will seem normal again when people stop thinking Minnesota is worth a damn, and start remembering that Ohio state is actually a good team. Oh yeah and throw in that this is both teams big ten opener and its at the horseshoe...

I'm slightly tired of typing so ill post my other pics and opinions in a little bit.

Really like that Mich. St. pick with the injuries that Indiana is showing, I think State rolls here. The Injuries are as follows:
                            Chris Phillips Knee Doubtful
                            Rodger Safford Knee Questionable
                            Nick Polk Knee out
                            Austin Thomas Leg Questionable
