Weiss has to be the biggest fraud ever to coach football, they thought he was a genius when he had the greatest QB in NFL history that threw perfect passes on every play. He will get fired.

Weis is struggling no doubt, but Willingham is a mess. Look at what he has done to that Washington program. 9 total wins in 3+ seasons.

I would be surprised if Willingham isn't fired after they lose to Stanford.

I'm not sure if they should've fired Willingham or even before him, Bob Davie. Maybe both are just bad coaches. But I think the problem ND has is with not finding a guy they could really stick with for a while. They've sort of gone after the coach du jour in some knee-jerk fashion and been looking in the wrong places in my opinion.

Well, with Weis....ND got one of their very own. I mean, he is an alum. Also, he was the OC on three super bowl winning teams.

If Weis can't win at ND, I don't know who can or will. He understands the culture there....he knows they won't be getting a JCs to play, he knows how tough recruiting is now, and he has landed some serious talent (Cierre Wood for 2009), but the biggest mistake I think he has made is not having a proven OC on his staff.

He did hire David Cutcliffe, but Cutcliffe had a heart attack and couldn't coach in 2006. Haywood has never called plays in his life, and now Charlie turns over the offense to him. That just isn't smart football.
