Idaho +27 @ Arizona Total 59.5
I've been leaning towards Pags pick of Idaho +27 tonite but with all the returners on offense for both sides vs all the new starters for defense for both squads maybe Over 59.5 is the play here? Idaho is no barnburner coming off of a 1-11 season but they do return 10 starters on offense including their QB, RB (1100 yd rusher), top 5 receivers, and 4 seniors on the O-line vs only 3 returning starters on defense for Arizona. Now on the other hand...Arizona returns 10 starters on offense running Texas Tech's offense vs only 4 returning defenders for Idaho! The total for Arizona alone is 44! I'm thinking Arizona 45-23...leaning towards the total!
N. Illinois +9 @ Minnesota Total 59
The line has crept up to 9 here but I lean towards N. Illinois. The Huskies return a whopping 21 starters and they're not getting much respect here due to a 2-10 record last year but they were one of the most banged up teams in NCAA last year. The Gophers were 1-11 last year and 119th in defense. They should be much improved as well but they had 2 dogfights w/MAC teams to open their season last year and this should be more of the same. An upset wouldn't shock me at all.
Minnesota 30 N. Illinois 27
Any thoughts appreciated!
