    Loving these picks!!
Lets start with Auburn. This team plays in the SEC and has to be considered one of the tuffest teams in College. They play a ULMonroe team who lost thier most valuable asset in Calvin Dawson RB. Also, they lost most of their O line due to graduation!! These means Auburns strong point DEFENSE (which is nothing new) will have a field day! Andddd.., Auburn is putting in a new offense headed by the Offense Coordinater Franklin who knows a thing or two about the spread!!! Even if they struggle early in this game few defenses are conditioned to keep up with the pace of this new offense. This one is a no brainer:

    Auburn -26 1/2

Then I will go with Kansas. Say what you want about this team, they can score. They run the spread to perfection and returning is Reesing QB who proved he knows how to handle this team. They play Florida International (1-11)... Enough said. It is a lot to give up but, this should be a scoring clinic!

    Kansas - 37 1/2

Everyone likes Utah, Y? You got me. Every year Michigan has an athletic team. This year is no different except, Rich Rodriguez is heading the charge. RichRod knows how to use his given talent to the fullist. Plus, Michigan knows what it feels like to disappoint everyone. This is my pick for Redeem Team for college. Should be a fun one to watch as Michigan will silence thier critics early. This pick may have everyone doubting me but, the game will end and you will see.

    Michigan - 3 1/2

Take Mizzou! Too much hype surrounds this team. They will not disappoint (atleast not early on). This is an experinced team who runs the spread! Yes, they are playing against Illinois and Yes, they have Juice but, they have lost a stud in Mendenhall. Juice will led them to a good season but, how will he handle the pressure of no Mendenhall? Against a hyped team? Who is experienced? And has 10 Defense starters from last year? While trying to keep up with the scoring from a Hiesman hopeful in Daniels? Sorry guys too much too soon:

    Mizzou - 8 1/2

Last one, South Carolina. This team is in the SEC. Every SEC team needs to win outside the conference (expecially early). SEC teams thrive off of defense and they play against an NCST team who has no QB and no WR. Even Maryland blanked them in the last game of last season. SC does have a question at QB in Snead but I see the speed and defense of SC taking over this one. The true question is on NCST def. and how they fluster Snead. May be closer than I think but:

    South Carolina -11½

    My addtional picks:
    Texas -22½
Going to be close if Texas stumbles early and gives this team hope. Florida Atlantic has a great coach this one is iffy
    Oregon State -3
Stanford may be on their high horse but, OSU is too tuff for them
    Wisconsin -26½
going to be close with Wisconsins lack of o but, akron is akron
    Boston College -9½
I feel strong on this one BC is too strong of an overall team to even have a close game against KENT ST!!!!!
    Oregon - 14
I know I down graded them. Didnt know... My bad. Incase anyone failed to do research (like me) Dixon is not returning . I still believe in them, Y? Cause I have to I already placed my wager . C'mon DUCKS!
Hope you get to enjoy them as much as I will!!
See ya at the bar, first rounds one me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next up Oregon. As a team they are fast! (nothing new) ! I think everyone has forgotten about a Heisman Runner in Dixon who is returning to lead this team. This squad was serious before he went down last year and he is back! With something to prove he makes this team a scoring machine. Their opponent is..... Washington, who? Washington.. They have a coach in Ty Willingham, who is to blame for ND downfall. He is one of the worst! He will not be a coach at Washington after this season. I see an easy victory:

    Oregon - 14

Appreciate the write up. One heads up: South Carolina's starting quarterback is Redshirt Junior Tommy Beecher who is getting the first start (although he has seen action in previous seasons) of his career. You may be thinking of backup Redshirt Sophmore Chris Smelley who went 4-2 last year with wins over Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi State, Kentucky, UNC and losses to Vanderbilt and Tennessee.

        Yeah, one thing.

Oregon does NOT have Dennis Dixon, he has graduated.

Oregon also lost a first round RB in Jonathan Stewart.

You may need that information when you evaluate your Oregon/Washington pick.

Dang.... Dixon really is gone!!! I read a mag (I think SI) and they made it seem like Dixon was coming back. Shucks I made them one of my main bets this week. This is bad, but hopfully not too bad. The only good about this is they are playing Washington.

Yeah, I meant Smelley (Snead is the transfer from Texas or Tenn, and plays for Mississippi) I believe Steve will have this team ready to go no matter who is QBing. I have been thinking about taking Miss but everyone here seems to like Memphis sooooo I am going to leave that one alone.

Like the man said, Dixon is gone, in fact, he's the No. 3 QB with the Steelers - had a 45-yard TD run two weeks ago. Dixon's backup, Nate Costa, this year's starting QB, blew out a knee last week and is out for at least 8-10 weeks, if not the season. No. 2, Justin Roper, threw 3 tds against S. Florida in in Sun Bowl and will start. The backup is a dude named Masoli, led SF to a national championship last year in JC. His backup is Chris Harper, 6-3, 235, freshman out of Kansas. Remember that name. Future Heisman hopefull. All three will play Saturday. Take the Ducks -14 even though Dixon is gone. Score will be 38-17, Oregon.
