South Carolina @ East Carolina. Discussion

Line set at south carolina -20.5 and and o/u of 61.

East Carolina has a strong passing offense with a terrible run defense. Marcus Lattimore is going to tear them up. Looked at East Carolina's schedule last year and they put up a lot of points against in conference opponents but when they played OOC they had 3 of their lowest total scores: 17 @ UNC, 27 @ VT, and only scored 20 in their bowl game against Maryland.
South Carolina has a strong defense and exceptional running game. I think south carolina as a favorite is a better play than the o/u. I see a 45-17 type of game. If you think south carolina can score more than 50, than the over is the play.
What are your guys thoughts who have more knowledge on these teams?

i think this one goes over. south carolina will roll but ecu will get some garbage points as well..

Garcia will not be starting for South Carolina. Wonder what Shaw will be able to do that Garcia can't do.

Over looks real good to me.. With Akeem Auguste out, ECU will have a few big passes.. And a few scores.. But Lattimore will run all over their D, so i see S.C. covering.. S.C. and the over for me..

SC will cover, Pass defense will be unblockable this year, Clowney will have a monster game, book it! USC running game will be dominant throughout. USC secondary is banged up so ECU may get a few big plays. Shaw, will start and play 1st quarter, followed by Garcia in the 2nd. Both will be eager to showcase their ability and will both play well. This is my biggest bet of the past 2 years, on SC. Not to mention, Ill be in section 105 cheering my ass off for them Gamecocks!

They will cover. ECU sucks on defense and against a top ten defense they will suffer tremendously. With Garcia out you won't have to worry about the occasional turnover. He is not that bright of a quarterback. He is only allowed to make 2 reads and if he can't find anyone he is supposed to run. But they will not cover outrageously. They will barely cover. We like to give up the occasional big play. At least twice a game and mainly in the second half. Don't be surprised if this is a push. But this should be a close cover. I am homer and this is my alma mater. I picked them correct in all their games last year.
