I think its a possiblity. Needless to say I would love to see it happen but as history has proven time and time again, sometimes luck has a lot to do with it.

Julio Jones, the wide receiver they just picked up on the recruiting trail, is the kind of guy that can put a team over the top. He's big, fast, explosive, and has excellent hands.

Look better to me on defence in the nationally televised game on espn but he was playing hurt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

saban is as good as there is in the country at recruiting, he's an excellent in-game coach...I wouldn't put it past him to win one within 5 years...

It will take Florida and LSU to fall off. Remember Georgia is improving as well. So it will be real tough for them since they are in the SEC.

You mean like LSU and Florida for the past two years?

I remember all the crying and moaning when the conference went to 12 teams with the championship game. Especially Bill Curry (in Kentucky cause he couldn't handle it) saying that the SEC would never have another National Champion because of the strength of the conference. Talk about some shut up juice.

That was in 1992 since then I know of at least 6 correct me if wrong going on memory ALA-1 TENN.-1 LSU-2 Fla.-2 am I missing any ?

Didn't Auburn go undefeated in '93 but were on probation? Wasn't that Bowden's first year?

I had forgotten 2004. I try to block them out a lot.

All that to say that I think a national championship should be within Alabama's grasp within 5 years.

not a chance...they will have a hard enough time being good enough to make it to the sec championship...the ohio state's, usc's, lsu's, oklahoma's will always be there to make sure that doesnt happen...
