i have ucf -12.5 for 1 unit locked in so far, will probably have a play on the total but want to wait and see what the line does. I have nothing to back up my play with, besides that I think ucf defense will lock the uab O up and uab's defense is pretty shaky to say the least. Right now it looks like most people are on uab, i'll be watching to see if that changes by game time.

last i looked it was split down the middle, which is odd to me since the public is usually always on the favorite. This game makes me think of this last weekend when ncstate was getting four points against vatech. I know ncstate was at home, but the more i think about it the more it seems like ucf is the play

ucf's defense is solid...i believe they have the 23rd ranked D in regards to points scored against them. I saw them play at kstate and they looked good for the first 3 quarters and then seemed to fall apart at the end. Their qb is mobile, so is the uab D going to be able to contain him when they spread the field out?

I am taking UAB in this one, i play by percentages on numerous factors. I am receiving 55.56% that UAB will cover. Which is good enough for me to throw a small bet on.

UAB's rush D is pretty well. Passing on the other hand needs alot of work. It may take a quarter or so to get dialed in. UAB with +13 is looking good. They had +14 on Tennessee! UAB lost, 29-32. Tennessee > UCF IMO.

I wouldn't trust UAB. I think UCF will cover that - 13 was thinking about the O/U but I'm just gonna play the spread.

Also the UAB kicker missed 5 consecutive field goals in a double OT loss at Tennessee.

damn...last night at 9ish this game was at a 50/50 split between them. Now uab has over 60%. that is crazy it has jumped that much in 12 hours.

Im liking UAB. Similar caliber programs UAB has found a QB and I think they keep it close. Wouldnt shock me to see a win out right but 12 is a lot of points in a nationally televised conference matchup of these type of teams.

Hoof - I am far from a professional handicapper so I really shouldn't be giving advice but I can tell you when I make a pick it's after doing a lot of research and reading about both teams. You will see a lot of people on this forum and others go against the public...they feel the public always bets on the favorites and in betting it's a known fact that more winners come from the right side of the page meaning with the points. I will look at the percentages just to make sure I'm not missing something, but rarely if ever will I change my pick because the percentage is not in my favor.

I know this doesn't really help you out, but I guess what I'm trying to say is to use it as a guide but don't go strictly one way or another because the public is on a certain side.
