Greek, a Nickel seems like a great call. That guarantees about a minimum Nickel profit for you, and even though I do think that SMU will cover, hedging is the smart play. You will have over $700 of profit if SMU covers. You can still pull for your original SMU pick since it will be the most profitable result, while knowing that you will be guaranteed to be profitable for the night regardless of the outcome of the game.
