I'm considering a play on Nevada here ... -4 seems kinda low especially after the Cal game last week ... This is their first road game though ... Do they travel well ? What do you guys think ? Should this be a strong play or not ?

No...generally we don't travel well but Provo is close and we are winning earlier than normal so you may see more fans than normal. This will definitely be a pro-BYU crowd though. I think if I was going to play I would take NV ML or no play because they could be closer than it appears. Although, BYU isn't the same team this year as they've been in the past and have problems scoring, we don't. I think everyone is banking on Nevada having a let down game and BYU covering, but I would tread lightly with that thought. The actions of the past don't always predict the actions of the future. I would look at the Over if I was playing but there are other games that are easier to predict..or try to. Good Luck either way.Comment -
My first thought was that BYU as a home dog was the easy play as they are 23-2 in Provo. Especially since Nevada is due for a letdown after that huge win vs CAL. But when you look at the numbers, it tells a different story. BYU cant seem to stop the run to save their life, giving up 271 ypg on the ground. And with Nevada averaging 302 rushing ypg, PLUS 258 ypg through the air, its hard to see this game being close since BYU offense is struggling. Its a no play for me but good luck.Comment -

on second thought I think I'll take Nevada - 4 after all ... they've got the 5th best rushing attack (302) and they are 4th in scoring points (50.7) ... while BYU is ranked 110th in scoring (15.7)Comment -

I live in nevada and follow these teams closely. I love nevada all day long but it's BYU and they'll be ready. It's a no play for me. Sometimes too much info is not good.Comment -
Another small tidbit, BYU has been using 2 QB's and now Riley Nelson is out for the year and they have just the true freshman.Comment -
think byu will be better off being forced to only use one qb as the 2 qb thing was not working. not sure how it effects them this week but long term i think it a blessing in disguise, the fresh actually the more prototypical byu qb. whether they a little down or not i would not feel comfortable giving points to byu at home. either byu or pass for me, more than likely pass so glComment
