Gotta say I feel as though Texas has this one. Now having said this I think it is going to be a very hard fought game and will come down to a field goal or a lucky bounce. This will be a nail biter.

Liking Tech. Feel a lil better if the public continues to hammer it all the way to +7.5 Looks like it may happen. Over 70% so far.

Texas is going to take out some revenge for what happened two years ago. They will not only win, but cover this game. They just have much better talent.

Texas is in serious need of WRs because Gilbert doesn't have Jordan Shipley to bail him out anymore. That being said, TTU's defense struggled way too much with SMU and New Mexico. Texas 34 - Texas Tech -13.

^ I want to know how anyone could think this line moves to -6.
I think @ Tech this one goes their way. May hold out for +3.5 or just buy the hook but Texas hasn't really looked too impressive yet. Granted Tech doesn't look stellar I think the home field comes into play despite it not being all that far away from Austin.

I was at the Tech v. Texas game 2 years ago and that sh*t was ridiculous. The athomoshpeher is amazing, and the tail gating is stellar. Lubbock shuts down on game day for these events, and people who come to Lubbock hate every minute of it.
The annoying Tech fans are the worse when it comes to hospitality. When I was there they painted "TT"s all cars that had UT parking permits. Not to mention the riots that take place afterwards, the drunk Tech fans were mocking visitors and more than a couple of these encounters ended up with dozens of people in handcuffs.
People don't go to Lubbock for a football game, they go for war.

Can you give a little analysis as to why please. I am genuinely interested in your take on this game since you are from Texas. Thanks.

This game seems too fishy. Texas has the better talent and the better coach. Tech has Tuberville who is a complete idiot in my opinion ( I am a Bama fan). James Willis is the D Coordinator for Tech and he spent about a month last season game planning Texas's O. I would lean Texas but this game could probably go either way.
I cant touch it. I could see both sides taking place so no play

I roll with my guy feeling, I tries the analysis thing but games are emotional affairs. The team that plays harder and wants it more always has the edge.

Your obviously biased but Tuberville is a much better coach than Mack Brown, it's not even close. Mack Brown has a title in spite of himself because he had a superhero in Vince Young. Brown has done very little with so much talent.
I'm not sure Tech has the depth but they will have a better gameplan that's a given. I really like Tech in the 1st quarter and the 1st half. Texas has had a history of starting slow in games dating back to last year. I think Tech will punch them in the mouth early and that's the best play.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!
Texas has so many top recruits but they never dominate! They keep winning now becuase of the coaching staff but rather their recruits.
Most successful program rely on their coaches.

Isn't anyone surprised by how low this line is? This is begging the public to take Texas and so far it is working.
If the lines are truly set on public perception, then how can this line be only a field goal? The Longhorns are viewed as one of the top teams in the nation and the Red Raiders aren't even in the top 25. If you were trying to cut the action in half, you'd set this line higher.
This line baits people into taking the Longhorns, in my opinion.

This line is so f*cking fishy. There's no reason for Tech to even be close to a 3 point dog here...Texas is a much better team. So we have to ask the question, are the books trying to trick the public into taking Texas with such a small line, or are they trying to get sharp money on a Tech team that's generated huge RLM? Personally, I think Texas rolls

Books never target sharp money b/c from what I know it's actually only about 20-35% of the action in most cases
