Hey guys, its 4am (been studying a good 2-3 hours) and I have selected my picks for tomorrow, I experimented with TT (team totals) last week and did very well (3-1), I went (5-1) total in the 1st week.
With that said Im going to continue with a Team total strategy (at least just for this week), here are my picks:
East Carolina TT over 35.5
I like this pick because E.Car scored over 50 last week against a better team in Tulsa, and while both teams defense severly lacked discipline and the ability to tackle, E car offense was very impressive. Guess what this time they play @ home against a weaker team in Memphis. E Carolina's team has improved from last year with the acquisition of ex-BostonCollege quarterback Dominique Davis, and the new head coach has E car started off in the right direction. Im going to play E car on the TT, and ride the luck of last week...
Hawaii TT over 24
I love this play! Why, you might ask? Well, its simple HU had the ability to hang with USC (superior athletes) and score 36 points on them. Thats impressive, HU has an electric offense & their TT is 24 points only?? I dont understand this a bit, but hey they could be a team that plays to their opponents? Im willing to take that risk here because I watched Army barely beat Emi 31-27, this tells me everything I need to know and gives me the confidence to place a wager...
Texas TT over 38.5
Its here that I watched TX HC Mack Brown discussing the difficulties last year against Wyoming in the 1st half (on ESPN this week) only leading by a few points. They finished the game 41-10 @ wyoming. This year it is TX home opener!! I expect Brown to light a fire up the TX players ass this year and score a bundle. Now you may say Wyoming is actually a decent team, (they are) but lets not compare athletes for these schools, as Ill piss my pance laughing! lol Phil Steele says: Tx opens with an avg of 42ppg on home openers, I like these odds. Lets go Longhorns!!
Texas Tech TT over 40
Ok, ok, I know, I really know this is way too many TT!! lol But I couldnt resist on this one, Texas Tech scored 35 on a really good SMU team, the best Ive seen yet, hell they even let up a bit in the 4th quarter or 2nd half for that matter. Its here that they play a NM team thats playing on a AA cupcake level gaining 107 yds on O, and giving up well over 700 yds on D!! Did I mention they lost to Oregon 72-0, Yikes!!! This may be the worst team in Div 1A?? I look for more of the same here and I have a great chance of Tx Tech busting 40 points!!
And, a traditional spread pick...
Oklahoma St -13 (had to buy 2 pts)
We all saw Ok st beat the living tar outta Washing St, which IMHO could give NM a run for their money as the worst team in college Div A Ftball. Its here that Ok st. is playing Troy St, who barely beat Bowling green. I believe that Troys athletes are out of their league here as they play a very good Ok st team @ HOME! In scanning all games of Troy playing BCS teams they tend to get slaughtered pretty bad. I look for Ok st. to repeat the same thing they did last weak...
Thanks for reading, feel free to leave any comments or critiques, I really don't like the fact that I played so many TT but if you look at the picks (most of them are) a trend of really good teams vs bad teams, and at the end of this process, it was neccessary to stick with my gut feeling.
