    Monday Picks
Hello all. Here are my first picks being a member of this forum.

    Navy -6 1/2 / over 49
Navy is coming off a great season, and almost everyone is back on offense. Maryland's young defense will not stop Navy's offense. QB Ricky Dobbs is a senior now and is ready to prove that he is one of the most versatile quarterbacks in the nation. He rushed for 27 touchdowns, the most in the nation, and picked up 1,203 yards last year. Expect Dobbs to handle the rock at least 30 times in this game between passes and runs, as he averaged 22.5 carries per game last year. Both RBs Vince Murray and Marcus Curry are back as well, and both might be able to threaten the 100+ yard mark if the Terrapins don’t shore up what was a porous rush defense at times last season. Navy should hit 30 with its vaunted triple-option offense. If not for the Virginia Cavaliers, the Terps might have had the worst team in the ACC this season. They have a new duel threat QB in Jamarr Robinson, and there RB Da'Rel Scott is back from injuries as a senior, but neither should have an easy day against the stout Navy front seven. The real problems might occur on defense, where a very, very young unit is going to have to try to stop one of the most difficult offenses to prepare for in the entire nation.

    Boise St. ML +105
In two seasons, Boise's QB Moore is 26-1 and has thrown for 7,022 yards with 64 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. His 39 touchdowns to three interceptions last year was the best ratio in NCAA history. Wide receives Austin Pettis and Titus Young combined for 142 catches and 24 touchdowns, while running back Jeremy Avery rushed for 1,151 yards and six scores. Boise State is also sound defensively, leading the WAC by holding opponents to an average of 17.1 points.
Just how good the Broncos are in 2010 will be tested immediately by Virginia Tech, which routinely boasts one of the best defenses in the country.
The Hokies ranked ninth in average points allowed (15.6) and 11th in pass defense, giving up 167.1 yards per game with nine TDs. The unit, however, is a major question mark after losing seven starters from a 10-3 season capped by a 37-14 win over Tennessee in the Chik-fil-A Bowl. The Broncos offense was evidently one of the best last year and they return everyone on that side of the ball so I don't see anything changing. On the flipside, this will be a tough cover for VTech who brings in 7 new defensive starters. One thing to think about though is Boise did lose Kyle Wilson, who was one of their best defenders, but I believe Boise's season rides on this game, with their respect and shot at a championship. I'll stick with Boise.

    Parlay Navy -6 1/2 / over 49 / Boise ML

    Good luck to everyone!

Could we have worse luck? 5 turnovers in 5 RZ trips? Disgusting...

Well due to 5 turnovers in the RZ my parlay is cracked, but I'm sticking with Boise ML tonight.

Although I lost a year on my life, we pulled it out! And after Navy literally gave it away, it felt damn good. Congrats!
