Well if they declined the penalty it should still mean it counts.

It should count no matter if the penalty is declined or not! Declining means you don't care that they threw it forward and the play stands!

Apparently it doesn't count if it happens on the last play of the game and gives the public a win.

The only people that would care about reviewing this is the books. The NCAA doesn't give a shit if temple covered the spread...

Did they kick the extra point? How could they count the TD with out the extra point attempt? It was my understanding that at the end of regulation, if a TD is scored with time running out in regulation, there must be an extra point attempt.

Don't get me wrong, I'm pleased as this turned a loss into a win but I don't know why I won. And since I was on the wrong side of the Pitt game a couple of years ago, I'll now consider myself even on end of game shenanigans....even if both games are wrongly decided.

Extra point is only kicked at the end of regulation if it ties or wins it.

I'm not sure that's right. I know I've seen it in the NFL many times where they force a team to kick it. Is the college rule different?

I'm wondering if we will get an explanation/apology next week from the NCAA saying that they should have either made Temple kick it or disallowed the TD. Much like the Pitt game. The apology later that week by the NFL validated my belief, not my bankroll.

Pretty sure its different. Teams dont kick Xps in OT after scoring a game winning td.
