    Opening Night Wrap-up
    Opening Night Wrap-up
If you are a believer in balance and all things tend to even out in life then opening night of the 2010 College Football season is right up your alley. We had 3 favorites cover, 3 dogs cover (and 2 of those won outright) and 1 push.

Some of you may have different closing numbers but the source I used had these:

    Favorites Covering:

Ohio State -28 beat Marshall 45-7
South Carolina -13 beat Southern Miss 46-13
Iowa St -4 beat Northern Illinois 27-10
    All home favs.

Covered the Line or Outright Win:

Florida Atlantic +13 beat UAB 32-31
Minnesota +1 beat Middle Tennessee St 24-17
Hawaii +20 covered against USC 36-49

    Pushed:

Pitt +3 lost to Utah 24-27

If you were a Totals bettor the over dominated the night going 5-2.

What's up Wal? Good to see ya bud. Hard to believe that football is back

I had Florida Atlantic winning that game straight up. That line seemed way out of whack.

        What's up Mac!

I had a feeling about Florida Atlantic as well and it did register as a program play but I didn't put any stock in the program and didn't play any program plays this week or will I next week. I will start posting program plays in week 3, until then they are just my plays.

I have no action tonight but I like the over in the Arizona/Toledo game.

Tomorrow I have 4 games and only Georgia really concerns me. Could go 0-4 tomorrow but think 3-1 is very realistic. Florida is my big play and they really should be able to dial in a number.

I took UF several weeks ago when the line was 31. I think it opened at like 26?? I wish I would have hammered it as it's up to like 38 today. I also wanted to take LSU before all the UNC suspensions but oh well... Sometimes undermanned teams put up good fights.

I'm in Gville, going to the game in the morning. Folks are lining up in the streets tonight, tailgaters parked their RVs since Wednesday morning. Taking my 3 year old to his first Gator game. He'll be decked out in the throwbacks.

So far I'm rolling on all my plays. I'm loving Oregon state and really liking Wisconsin, I'm leaning Purdue and UConn. I'm also starting to like Rice +31 vs UT. I have a couple of friends whose kids play for Rice and they might be able to air the ball out tomorrow. If they can put up 20 pts, they should cover. GL2morrow

Mac, next time you are in town for a game gimme a shout, I'll buy you a drink (and myself a diet coke).

That Rice line is VERY tempting. Both Rice and UConn, I wanted to make into plays but limiting my plays to 5 a week this opening weekend.

Enjoy the day with your son.

Mac, get your kid out of there! NOW! He doesn't need to think that this is in anyway what represents Florida football. Get him out of there now.

14 friggin yards of offense at the half in the Swamp against a 1 win MAC team.

Good thing he's only 3 and doesn't understand the game yet. We burnt our asses out there in 100 degree weather to watch that shit. Would have been better staying at home in the Air Condition. Addazio needs to stop calling the plays and start coaching the offensive line. He sucks as an OC.

Glad to see this thread again Wal. I've been looking forward to it all offseason. Interested to get your thoughts on the Noles getting a ton of points in Norman. Best of luck this season.
