    "Wrong Line Rule"
Ok so on sunday morning I grabbed k St +3 and now monday morning its K St -2.5. My $300 dollar bet didn't move the line that much lol I did however post a thread on here to everyone so maybe a few people pounded it and the book was like "OMG were freaking idiots we have the wrong team favored!!"

Someone was telling me I may loose my wager cause of the "wrong line rule" how can sportsbooks hang numbers and then take bets back? I just don't want to find out after the game and after I win that my bet has been cancelled. As of now, its a live bet. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The books can cancel a bet if the line was posted in error. Not sure what advice you are looking for. Let it ride and see how the book grades it.

I can understand that but this particular book had k st +2.5 for at least a week.

Was just wondering if I should call or leave it alone, maybe someone else has gone through this before.

You can check the line history on SBR odds. Looks like the line changed on the 8/22. GL

That line opened K State -3. Should be a no bet. No way they change that fast. LOL!

K st. opened as a dog. If you check line history on 8/22 at around 1500, you'll see the move. Not knowing what book was used, hard to tell about the +3.

Yes K st did open as a dog. The site is partybets as I have no way of checking the line history for this site. I do know though this was no error as they had the wrong team favored for over a week. Correct me if I'm wrong but the "wrong line rule" wouldn't apply in this case? Thanks.

As an example, Pinnacle had it at +2 with a rising amount to lay on 9/22. Seems your book was slow in moving the number. Most times the lines have to be out of wack for the wrong line rule to hold. I can't help you with what to do. Your decision.

MasterP10; You are correct. Wrong line is not in effect. That is a good play. My bad. Thanks for the help!

First of all, the line was not bad. The only thing that moved the line was UCLA QB Prince being listed as doubtful. Things like this happen. If your book does not honor the wager, then you have been screwed. It is that simple. I managed to get K. State +2 and UCLA +3 within 10 minutes of each other in Vegas on the 22nd. One book knew about the inury. The other did not. You guys put up with way too much B.S. at off shore books. Vegas books do not cancel wagers because of injuries. Do you have any idea of how easy it is to manipulate lines? It is done all the time by sharps, which is why offshore books are scared to death of them.

Bigdaddy- I agree with the line move due to the status of prince. Personally I would have taken K st whether he plays or not. All I wanted to know was if the "wrong line rule" applied in my case.

This particular site "partybets" was obviously slow in moving there line. Like i said K st was listed as +2.5 for over a week while every other book had them as -2.5 favorites. So the line was bad.
