They scored 33 against Arizona last year, and I guarantee you Arizona had a lot better defense than Western Kentucky does this year.

The big question when handicapping big favorites in college football is not whether the favorite can cover the number, but whether the coach chooses to try to do that and whether his reserve players have the capability of doing that. In that regard, be appraised that the Huskers beat Florida Atlantic on this field (a better Sunbelt entry) than WKU By 49-3 last year(as -23) and Louisiana Lafayette 55-0 as -28. It seems like history under 3rd year coach Bo Pelini goes a long way to answering your question. Hilltoppers new 1st year head coach Taggart will surely be facing growing pains with an 0-12 team. Remember, they lost 63-7 in last year's opener at Tennessee. With 9 returning offensive starters bringing back 95% of yardage, it does appear the Huskers have the firepower and experience to cover this number if Pelini desires.

This is easily a 49-7 win here.

wku was literally the worst team in fbs last year. not sure how much they improved at all, but i'd have no problem taking nebraska here.

People WKU will not score on Pelini defense. All you need is for Nebraska to score 5 touchdowns.
