    2010-2011 NCAAF Season Thread
This is the thread that I will post all of my College Football plays for the 2010-2011 season. If you are looking for 10 plays per week you have come to the wrong thread. As you may have learned from my other thread these plays should produce an average of 1-2 plays per week, maybe more maybe less, it just depends. I do not handicap College Football, I do not have a million different stats that I spend all week scanning through I simply have a wagering angle which is simply what I call situational handicapping. We all know the oddsmakers can NOT be right on all spreads for all games based on the number of games played each week. Well, through time I have discovered an angle which has been lights out and has shown a proven real weakness with the books for the past 8 (eight) College Football seasons. If you ask me if I can provide proof of past records the answer is NO. I am not going to lie and make up some numbers to satisfy some but I will tell you that if their is a more successfull College football wagering angle I would call you a lier because it simply does not exist.

I consider NCAAF my most successfull and profitable wagering sport and I can guarentee you that you will not be disappointed with the results that this thread will provide. As you may have noticed with my MLB and College Basketball threads I wager and post 1 (one) unit on every play, nothing more and nothing less. Not in College Football. The posted plays in this thread will be 5 units for each play. ALL of my plays will be wagered on the underdog which simply means I will not play/post any favorites in this thread, plain and simple. Again, this wagering angle produces action on underdogs only. I originally posted that I was also going to have Money Line wagers but I will not post those plays in this thread as this particular thread will be side (pointspread) wagering only.

I would like this thread to also include educating and providing information regarding any College Football team you may have interest in and would like more information about. If you have a team in mind you would like more information about for this season post the team and I will provide it for you.

A few people have asked me if I am interested in texting or emailing these plays along with posting them in this thread. I do not text but if you would like these plays emailed PM me your email address and I would be glad to do that. I also have a MLB and NFL thread in those respective forums so if you PM me you email address you will be emailed every play that I post which includes all sports. Do not post your email address in this thread....as I said PM it to me. If you want to follow the plays in this thread bookmark this thread for easier access.

Good luck everyone this football season. If you wager on sports just to have action all day each week in College Football you have come to the wrong thread. If you are looking for plays that provide a smaller percentage of plays with a win percentage second to none you have come to the right thread.

As I previously posted in my other thread the record for these plays the past 8 College Football season's is a astounding 125-10-3, 90.6%.

138 plays for the past 8 season's provides us with an average of 17.25 plays per season. So, as you can see not alot of plays but the plays I will provide are second to none.

In most sports my average play is 2.5% of my bankroll. My average play with these particular College Football plays are 10% of my bankroll.

These are very very strong plays backtested for the past 8 season's. If there is a College Football wagering angle that is better than this I would like to see it.

What a difference a year makes. At this time last year, the world had already decided Florida was going to win the national championship. Wait a minute! Isn’t that what everyone is saying about Alabama this year? Were you to look only at the Alabama returning offensive players, that would be a reasonable thing to do.

A nice place to start defending your national championship is with a quarterback who hasn’t lost a single game since the eighth grade! Greg McElroy doesn’t have all that much athleticism, can’t throw the ball on a line 70 yards and isn’t a rebirth of a young Michael Vick. His IS a winner who knows his limitations and always plays within them.

A nice second piece for Alabama is returning Heisman Trophy winner, Mark Ingram. He averaged almost 120 yards per game rushing last year and a goodly portion of those yards were tough ones. Standing in the wings waiting for Ingram to take a breather is Trent Richardson. Richardson may actually be a better running back but he also recognizes his role and performs it to perfection.

As good as the Bama running game is going to be, the receiving crew will be the one factor that allows the Tide to repeat, if used properly. Three returning targets of note are juniors Julio Jones and Marquis Maze and senior Darius Hanks. The three combined for 1400 yards receiving last year, a figure that will need to be increased greatly this year. Sophomore Michael Williams will step into the vacant tight end slot and needs to get more catches that the 26 the man he replaces got last year.

For any offense to be successful, the foundation has to be an effective offensive line. Bama returns All Conference tackle James Carpenter, starting right guard Barrett Jones and starting center William Vlachos, not a bad threesome around which to build a unit. During spring practice, Tyler Love and D. J. Fluker went head to head for the right tackle slot with Fluker looking like the favorite to land the spot. Last year’s backup left guard, John Michael Boswell was unable to move up to the starting unit as sophomore Chance Warmack was better in spring ball. This will be an excellent line and it will be backed by excellent depth. It is a huge team plus.

The defensive front three is completely gone. The biggest (no pun intended) hole to fill in the line will be man-mountain, nose tackler Terrance Cody. His 350 pound frame clogged the middle forcing opponents to run elsewhere. Josh Chapman and Kerry Murphy exited spring practice as the top two to replace Cody. Marcell Dareus has nailed down one end assignment but the other starting end is a mystery. Luther Davis needs to up his game a bunch to win the slot. It might be late fall practice before the position is filled.

Middle linebacker Rolando McClain was like an extra coach on the field last year. His talent will be tough to replace but it will be every more difficult to fill his leadership void. If Dont’a Hightower is fully recovered from knee problems, he will be the playmaker at one middle linebacker spot. The other inside spot will be won by either sophomore Nico Johnson or junior Chris Jordan or red shirt freshman Tana Patrick with excellent depth being provided by the two who lose the starter competition. Lightly tested juniors Jerrell Harris and Courtney Upshaw captured the outside spots. It is hard to see this unit approaching last year’s talented foursome.

Mark Barron led the secondary with seven interceptions last year but he won’t recognize too many people in his unit this year. Sophomore Robert Lester is atop the depth chart at the other safety. Now, here is the area of worry for Bama. The top three players on the depth chart at one cornerback are gone and two of the three at the other corner do not return. Sophomore Dre Kirkpatrick looks like a fit at one cornerback. The other cornerback slot has a free-for-all going with sophomore B.J. Scott and junior LSU transfer Phelon Jones getting the early edge but top rated cornerback prospect DeMarcus Milliner and fourth rated prospect John Fulton were early enrollees and took part in spring drills. In the fall, junior college signee DeQuan Minzie arrives. That is a lot of talent and potential but it is untested.

The secondary will get better as the year goes along but early, that “untested” word scares us. Bama also has to replace its kicker, punter, long snapper, holder and best kick returner.

To approach last year’s success, the Tide will need to keep things simple on defense and quit wasting the mega-talent of Julio Jones and open up the offense.

I may add Money Line plays in this thread also, still have not decided. If I do they will be posted for 2.5 units and the pointspread plays will be posted for 5 units as I previously mentioned in my first post.
