    Missouri and the BCS?
How many of you think they got the shaft in the BCS? They beat Kansas and Kansas gets a BCS bowl game. Yes Kansas has only 1 loss, but Missouri only lost to Oklahoma, well twice they did. I think they played a tougher schedule.

Maybe that rule of only 2 teams from a conference getting a BCS bid should be changed. Yet another thing they have to look into.

Kansas has HUGE wins over Central Michigan, SE Louisiana, Toledo and Florida Int'l. The Jayhawks are the best team in the country.

I was really surprised to see Kansas go over them. How do you go from #1 to out all together

I think Missouri should be there over Kansas, but I am a believer in head to head records, where the BCS penalizes you if you lose late. Does anyone know how much the conference controls when teams play each other? I know when Miami joined the ACC they played Florida State the first week of the season, for a couple of years in a row, presumably so that the loser would still have the rest of the season to climb in the polls? Does anyone think conferences will go away conference championships, if the Big 12 didn't have one, Missouri would be playing for a national title?

            I couldn't agree more RJT

Just goes to show you that the old K-State coach Bill Snyder had it right all along. Schedule the patsies early, and take your chances with your conference schedule when it arrives.

Ya, a real fine choice made by the BCS on choosing Kansas

I think they did get screwed, but this rule must not change. Teams like Hawaii and Boise State would really get the shaft if it were changed.

That's what I hate about the BCS. It penalizes teams that lose late but it also rewards teams that benefit from high rankings early. If you're ranked high early all you have to do is win, but if you're a team like Hawaii you have to win and hope the polls put you in a postion to take advantage of other teams misfoturnes when they lose the last game of their season.

I think what we have learned that this is the system we have, work with it or else. It is sort of akin to the fact that there has never really been a "good government" throughout history. No one would say that our government is perfect (it has flaws) but we work with it and within it. That is exactly what teams should do, work with it and within it. Mizzou knew they were screwed if they lost that game, they lost.
