Colo showed much improvement over last year, including a win over Okla, and should be up for this game. Ala has got to be down after 4 consecutive losses including maybe one of the most embarrassing in their history to LA Monroe. Not that ULM is so bad, but the SEC should not lose a home game to a so so sunbelt team.

I think the Tide's seniors will be the difference since they seem to be a wee bit pissed at some of the attitudes still lingering on the team from the previous regime.

No really strong opinion here. Can make a very good case for both teams.

Here's my gut feeling for this game living 2.5 hours away from the campus of Tuscaloosa in the middle of SEC land. Nick Saban has not quite been the savior the Crimson Tide alumni hoped for...lets be clear with that. A 6-6 year with a season ending 4 game losing streak is totally unacceptable at a $4 million dollar a year price tag (they luckily stole this bowl spot from Spurrier and the Gamecocks who lost 5 in a row). Colorado marches in at 6-6 too, but their fans are pleased with the progress Hawkins has done there as of late. Saban on the other hand made "disaster" remarks after the loss to ULM. Hey don't forget he loss to Croom and nemisis Mississippi State a week prior to the "disater" loss. Thats another loss the fans wont forget about in months to come. Anyway, nobody has more pressure for a feel good win to save face for recruting wars down here in the heated SEC land for top calibur talent. Saban and Bama has all that...then add their talent edge, the crowd, and the fear of embarrasment of finishing 6-7 at 4 million dollars a year. Alabama is going to win this one big and the 3.5 point line is a deal!

Yeah, I'm right on this one. Dont worry if you are laying your money with Bama. Also remember Shula was fired after finishing 6-6. Saban's got them in boot camp over there to get ready for this one.

Bama is healthy and the Text Book crap is over and done with. Bama is my play as well. Saban has a captive audience in this game and you know what a media hound he is. Look for Fireworks early with scoring by both teams. I just hope JP Wilson dosen't decide to hand the game to Colorado like he did in 3 games this season. One of the teams he gave an early Xmas gift to will be playing for the BCS Chapionship. Colorado is a very talented team as well but I feel like Bama comes out strong in this one.

Extra Home Game for the Tide
Nick Saban is a lying sack of shit but he's still a good coach and I agree this is a MUST win! Going into the off season at 6-7 & dropping 5 in a row won't cut it! Colorado hasn't done much on the road except for 1 game (Texas Tech)! They lost a bad Iowa State team on the road and this game is a road game in all reality....Shreveport isn't far for the Bama faithful! Power Sweep likes Bama 30-17 and they're 11-3 ATS documented for this bowl season! I highly recommend their college picks!!

This is far from a home game for 'Bama. The Tide will likely have the majority of the fan base, but Colorado travels well and comparing a bowl game in LA to a true home game in Tuscaloosa is ridiculous. All this talk about how Saban and 'Bama "need" to win this game... didn't they "need" to beat UL-Monroe? Maybe it's time people came to the realization this Tide team isn't very good. JPW makes too many mistakes, he can't consistently get DJ Hall the ball, Grant's banged up and an overachiever, the defense is mediocre etc. Meanwhile, Colorado's a rebuilding program thrilled to be back in a bowl game following a 2-win campaign in '06. And for as big of a name as Saban is, one could make a strong argument that the coaching advantage lies with Colorado tonight (Hawkins is that good of a coach).

I see the result of this game turning out similar to the Texas vs. Arizona St. game.
Bama will be motivated and Saban will have had a month to prepare a solid game plan against a formidable foe.
Bama goes out big in the first two quarters then gets comfortable and allows Colorado to make a run at the end, but Bama ends up winning by 3.

I have Alabama at -3 so I would have to take Colorado +4 in this one. I also have the total at 53 so I would have to lean OVER 51.5.
No plays again, but good luck to everyone.

Colorado travels well? To support a 6-6 team and miss New Years to hang out in Shreveport? Bama will have atleast 80% of the fans! Learn Power Sweep....LIVE POWER SWEEP!! Phil Steele is GOD when it comes to college football! He says 30-17 Bama...he's only 11-3 ATS DOCUMENTED so far!!

Alabama started off smoking, going up 27-0, then Colorado put on a great comeback. Had a shot a winning it, if they maybe tried for a onside kick or stopped Alabama on their last drive.
Alabama 30
Colorado 24
