Get it at -7 Before it's too late (still @ -7 bookmaker.com!!)
I admittedly am a huge Mizzou fan, but capping this game has nothing to do with who I want to win. In fact, before this season, I probably bet AGAINST Mizzou 75% of the time. The ONLY reason to bet with Kansas St. is the theory that Mizzou will be looking ahead. That's just not the case, and here are the 4 main reasons why Mizzou will cover Saturday...
1. MOMENTUM
Kansas St. has pretty much thrown in the towel. Losing to Iowa St., and getting clobbered by a dismal Nebraska team should show you how hard this team is playing right now. On the other hand, Mizzou won't even have a chance to make the Big XII champ. game if they lose (unless KU loses, yeah right), so they WON'T be looking ahead.
2. MIZZOU'S PASSING
Mizzou has the #5 passing offense vs. K St.'s #93 pass defense. Mizzou's receivers catch everything and can't be stopped, esp. against a porous defense
3. REVENGE
Mizzou hasn't won in Manhattan since 1989, and are relishing in the opportunity at a blowout.
4. "HOME ADVANTAGE"
I assure you, Mizzou fans are buying up these tickets. With much more on the line for Mizzou, Wildcat fans are more than willing to dump their tickets. The campuses are only 2 1/2 hours apart. I expect 35%-40% of fans will be wearing black and gold.
Obviously, you just never know in college football, but all signs point to solid Mizzou win. Tigers 45-24. Mizzou-rah!
