Now that the Big 12 has been reduced to the Little 10 (or the Big 2+8), do they try to change the BCS rules to get a Conference Championhsip game with only 10 schools? Does the Big 10 (the new Big 12) or the Pac 11 allow this to happen? After all, they were not allowed to have a Conference Championship game. Since the Litle 10 is so weak, basically reduced to Oklahoma, Texas, and 8 also-rans, I do not see the point in having such a Conference Championship. So it appears that this years Conference Championship will be the last for the Big 12.
THe Pac 11 now must find a new school to give them their 12th team. Utah would fit in a potential new conference North-South allignment nicely. Ft.Worth based TCU would give the Pac 10 their Dallas-Ft. Worth market. The Air Force Academy would also fit the North-South allignment nicely and continue the Pac 10's history of having 2 rival teams per state (4 in California, 2 Bay area and 2 from L.A.) in the conference. New conference member Colorado needs to redo their schedule for next season. My guess is that the Pac 10 goes back to a normal schedule, which means 5 divisional games, three non-divisional conference games, and 4 non-con games.
There will also be a bowl reallignment, with the Big 12 losing one or two games, and the Pac 11 gaining one or two bowl games. The insight bowl, held in Arizona, will probably be added to the Pac 10's list of bowl games.
And enough of these damn earthquakes out here. They are beginning to become a pain in the tail. If they must continue, do it during daylight hours, so it is easier for me to check my house for damage.
