    Big 12-Pac 10 Conference Outlook
Here is the current way the Big 10 and Pac 10 stacks up, and potential outlooks:

Big 10. East: Indiana, Michingan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Purdue

West: Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Wisconsin.

Future: A no brainer. The Big 10 will keep their East-West allignment. Indiana wil be the next team to go to the Western Division if the Big 10 adds two teams East of Indiana, or 1 team and Notre Dame. If the Big 10 goes to 16 teams, add Missouri to the West.

Pac 10: North: Colorado, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Washington State.

South: Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Stanford, UCLA, USC.

Future. If the Pac 10 only adds one more team (Utah more than likely), that team goes to the North. If they expand to 16 teams, everything changes. Your Pac 16 outlook:
Central: Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Oklanoma, Oklanoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech.
Coastal: Cal, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, USC, Washington, Washington State.

The Pac 10's new lineup is totally based on whether or not they take one team or 5. Unlike the Big 10, the Pac 10 will decide at one time. The Big 10 may take one team at a time.

The Big 12 is finished. 4 Teams, Texas, T-Tech, Ou and Okie State may jump as soon as Tuesday. What A&M does is anyones guess. They are just dumb enough and foolish enough to turn down the Pac 10 and join, or make an attempt to join the SEC as an also-ran.

So, if Texas A&M do their expected dumb decision, moving to SEC... do Pac-10 stay at 15 teams? Or do they take other school to reach 16? Which one? Baylor? Utah?

Rest assured that combining the Pac 10 and the WAC will never happen. The WAC will either struggle on as is, or will merge with the MWC. Nothing will happen for the next couple of years. A lot of this depends on future expansion. If everyone sticks to 12 teams, except the Big East and Little 10 (Big 12), then the WAC may survive. But if conferences expand to 16 teams, the Big East and the WAC will NOT survive. Right now it appears that how the Little 10 does and what theBig 10 wants to do will be the deciding factors.

WAC has some good teams. I dont consider WAC a weak league

I don't think we will see any conferences disappearing

Well, it depends what do you mean with weak. All of BCS conferences and MWC are clearly stronger than WAC. The independents as a group are slightly stronger, and C-USA is slightly weaker. Mid-American and Sun belt are clearly weaker than WAC.

So, being in 9th place out of 12 may not be very weak, but WAC is clearly in the bottom half of the league.
